excellent effort all round

Only one donutter but he got away before mark the Terzo got his camera out but if we track him down he will be named and shamed on here !!!

Funny moment and there is always one!!
As per memo which you all read £5 donation no change buckets are sealed most of you just chucked a tenner in or a fiver and all your loose change !!

Tight wad said 'i onlyhave a ten pound note !!.

Gaz 'tough its for charity in the bucket !! and get parked up !!!.'

Tight wad 'but i want a meal 'and need the change '

By this time the convoy is backed up for 2 miles !!!

Gaz 'well its a tenner but come to the CS stand and we will give you a free cumbrian scoobs burger ' !!!

there is now scoobys packed up behind and impatient !!

tight wad says 'thats disgracefull 'and puts the tenner in and drives onto field !!

Tight wad parks up comes back makes a song and dance until he gets his fiver back ""

there is always one in 299 scoobies so i hope he ran out of petrol on his way home !!
Next year the captain ,Gaz and mark the Terzo will be ready to name and shame him

loved the show, well organized and loads of enthusiasm by everyone, well done.

one small gripe, why did the unmodified section of classic cars have mods like spoilers, wheels and brakes?

Itry not to over see everything bit the criteria that was set 3years ago when we
tramp round the field (in our wellys) was a classic unmodified

standard apart from

exhaust
wheels
spoiler

as generally (unless you are PS Lewis) most people tended to change them as soon as they got the car
i must admit i dont think i have ever seen a scooby wth a twin pea shooter exhaust I think that is the most basic description we could come up for with a classic

The judges have not time to examine every car for MODS and number of them

To all the NBO Organisation team:
I have attended many many shows over the 30 years of being a petrolhead showing cars and I must say yours has got to be up there at the top of my list for one of the most well organised events I have attended. Not only was it proffesionally presented ... it wasn't even for your own gains as it was for charity. Top Marks.... give yourself a big pat on the backs guys for a job well done.

It was for this reason alone that we decided on the day to donate the Full set of Extreme Graphics worth over £200 as a prize and we will support you again next year....

wish id have known that, as my car is in the best ever shape since it was repaired recently, and i would have entered it in the unmodified section...

5 NBO's and my 5th visit Brilliant day out - to hell with the weather... The convoy from Scotch Corner was the best yet and you could hear the Washington lot coming a mile away - the sight and sound of them all streaming in to the Services still has me grinning! The sound-off was a highlight for me but I didn't think I would be interested because I'm not into that sort of thing but I was well impressed and it was great to hear a bit of Runrig belting out Very well done to all concerned and roll on next year. Is the £6+K raised on the day the 'doubled figure' as a matter of interest?

Yes we took £3200 cash on the day through gate reciepts which averaged £9 and raffle ticket sales also our mobile collections which were the Atention Seekers babes and our walking scooby Do

the £3200 is doubled by BAE systems thanks to Chris towers from LADS our committee fundraiser in charge of this part of the operation .

The fear of being called a tight Wad and been photographed and name and shamed in front of the community means all pockets were emptyed and people went to the cash machine for more donations

Our fundraising efforts this year has been fantastic as i was determined to double last years figure and we did so even at the end when we had £2900 cash a message was put out byt Martin the DJ saying Lordy was not happy and wanted another £100 and £300 wass raised in less then 10 minutes

Thanks to all those that donated raffle prizes and for all of tose that helped by giving what you could to raise £6400

What a fantastic event! Great to see so many excellent Scoobies being displayed and the other club stands were indeed excellent and diverse. Fantastic effort!

We were priviledged to be part of such an event - well worth the trip up from the south coast!

Thanks again for a wonderful day!

Must admit cant wait for next year. Sheffieldscoobys will be out in force once more.

Was great on the drive up, most of the time all i could see was scoobys.

Think there should have been loudest exhaust pop competition.

The dude that came down with us in the yellow scoob would have won for sure.

My only gripe of the day was the burger bar at the bottom of the field

3 cheese burgers and a bottle of coke £10.50 taking the **** me thinks.

Did they donate anything to the charity???

wow £10.50

we are stuck with the burger an though as it is part of LV package to us

Just to let you all know LV gave us that field for Nothing unlike people like the RS who pay in the region of £1200 and then they have to charge admission
the t&C are all proceeds /donation at the gate to charity and we cant sell food /drinks etc
it is one headacre less for me as not havent to book and manage a burger van /ice cream van and i would imagine they will pay a fee to LV
good comment on a donation to charity and if they didnt when i hae a meeting with the fundraising section i will make sure they give a donation next year !!!

thanks for that one

no wonder being part of a club is so important with CS/TTS burgers ,healthy drinks at the Lads and of course the luxury buffet of straweberry s that the RB group provided
Sheer class
------------------------------------------------------------------------

I would like a feed back from all the groups of how many new members you recruited this year #####

Do the rs club do it for charity? 1200 quid to use a field for the day ouch!!! Im in the wrong profession.

I think the burger van could give 5-10% of its takings. The prices are well above average anyway.

A dedicated NBO Goodies tent might be good for nxt year. Mugs, pens, tshirts, vest ect.

Great day out anyways m8, thanks for the hardwork you guys put in.

A few things I would like to see maybe for the next NBO.
1 - Best Classic
2 - Best Bugeye
3 - Best Blobeye
4 - Best Hawkeye
5 - Best Show Car - Cars built for shows! Not used everyday
6 - Best Used Car - People who use their car everyday can't complete with Item no 5!
7 - ICE car I know it was new this year, but it should be soound not how much you spent!
8 - Judges & Owners of the cars in the show ring ONLY!! It was a circus in the show ring.
9 - Judges asking some questions to the owners about their cars.
10 - Best Tuners Car - cars bulit for performance
11 - Best Limited Edition - Not cars just out the showroom.

Thats just my opinion. I know it takes alot of money to get cups & prizes for all the classes, but the more popular the event becomes the more people will want to be involved. Its just a pity that a few of the Bigger name Tuners don't make the effort and travel up from down south.

S!

Fantastic day Mr lordy, had a brilliant day, must admit i like the idea of everyone wearing usernames. Fully enjoyable day.
Must admit lads pulled out all the stops with their stand this year. Even if i am slightly biased well done again to all winners and organisers.

some good suggestions on name badges
contact stick me up as he has some t-shirts left #

next year in conjunction with stick me up we will be developing a range of merchandise unfortenly we lost money the firsy 3 years on stickers and t-shirts which cost us dear and stick me up was knocking up 100 t shirts the day before the NBO

we recognise that branding the NBO is important and are working on that

Thanks also go to Stickystuff from yorkshire who donated some great NBO banners for us and stick me up from tyne tees who did the same ,also Pirelli gave us some banners and great raffle prizes which helped the arena rather then the rope from poundstretcher !most other things we use we beg borrow and steal from CS and TTS members

suppliers ... I think martin (ninnybobs >sent over 90 letters again this year without even a responce this as over the last few years has been such a waste of resources and time for us with the new traders this year coming from word of mouth , we identify this is a main problem now for us and can always rely on the permanent support we have always had from the earlier days from AS performance and Revolution and Andy at Grade A also Westgate motorsport has become a regular ,without them we couldnt even afford to Insure the event which is very expensive bear in mind that we have a tenner in the kitty and rely on our suppliers to fund that ,i get the trophey at cost price and beg and borrow the music system and get the crane at cost
all volenteers are of course unpaid

again im fully committed to everything for charity and no losses so Ive been very nervous about stickers etc in the past if only half of them sell .

At TTS we will be buying the Tshirts ourselves just so stickmeup doesnt loose out as he gave all the proceeds to charity .

car classes again as the show grows not in numbers visiting but im happy with 298 and 1 tightwad /professional complainer .so the demand for the clases continue

last year we were begging for anybody to enter ,in the classics even my misses was waiting just in case no one entered

this year we were swamped with 16-18 cars lineing up instantly Im not sure yet if i want to go down the donation route of a quid to enter the arena ?

people have really got behind this competion this year and we were mobbed such was the demand ,the arena was packed ,the judges struggled to get to the cars and had less then 5 minutes to make a decision as cars need time to get in out , next year Im looking at the overall timing of the show say 10am start possibly as all the club stands were knocking on our door at 830 and that would give us more time for this important part of the show now .

I think 11 classes might just be too much logistics wise

Incase you didnt know Jassoon our sound off judge was atending but his wife went into hospital on sunday and ive just had a text to say his daughter was born at 1205 today and jassoon had the sound off meter in the car !!!

We are looking to have more judges next year just to cope with the demand that Andy , howie and Robbiben and the 2 TTS emergency judges struggled to get around all the cars

I think will be looking for judges from the diferent clubs to get involved

(i wont post what I really thought about the complainer in the ring)

keep the suggestions and feedback comoing in as we are getting some great ideas drawn up now while minds are still fresh

A possibility for the trophies could be sponsers for each one from people on scoobynet who have their own business. It pays for the cups and gives the person a little advertising. I'd would be prepared to sponser a couple. Just another idea , Brian
