From how I heard it,Fuzz said it wouldn't run at all with the TD05. Maybe I misunderstood what he meant ?

With the power goals you were talking about on Saturday I think I said it wouldn't be big enough to keep up further up the rev range / runs out of puff
I'm **** at explaining stuff. lol

Not a big fan of powerstation myself, I'm not saying that they aren't good as their type 25 is a superb maching, but that always seem to want to charge a fortune for a small job. I suppose if they can get away with it then you can't blame them, but my money goes elsewhere. I wouldn't say they are the best people to talk to about tuning a classic on a budget.

Personally I would not change the bottom end for 350, and I would not be concerned about hitting that figure either, just aim for it.
Choose your supporting mods wisely and anything above 320 will make a superb classic to drive.

harry: Yeah, they seem pretty well priced, especially with the usdound ration of 2:1

I'm not actually organising the group buy, or even part of it, just thought I'd mention it

It's not a case of wanting to change it Borat, the one he's got is buggered.

Nah saves u money in long run

350bhp is a walk in the park for an evo, no need for a gearbox, turbo, any engine mods.

Just get a remap or ralliart ecu, boost set at 1.5bar, exhaust and filter and then relax

There is that, but in the long run it works out cheaper and less stressful imo.

10k will get 1 with all the bits, all it will need is a bit of a tweak to get the power.

How much has been spent on yours to get it to the power it is ?

Dunno,a few grand just on performance mods I spose, but then there's the gearbox, diffs, clutch, flywheel, suspension, wheels and a rebuild by Api that didn't last long unforunately

I'd like to know what the guy I bought it off done to it(other than run it on BP fuel when it's mapped on V-Power!) to cause the engine problem. It's done less than 15,000 miles

The more ponies you want, the more it costs.
It's like death and taxes.

Look at mine, spent best part of 25k on it.
sold it for 7 ..

Why not?

The STI 5/6 had the stronger gearboxes and are known to run over 400/400 relatively easily. I know of two 11 Second STI's who are running P1 Drivetrains and Andy.F was dragging his own Sti 5 Type R on the standard box when he was running around 500 lbs torque.

Built engines that I personally know of (i.e I built the engine on at least one of them) couple of months later were back with whining boxes, at least one of them was relatively low mileage too.
Exception to the rule maybe. I don't believe it.
