just got the level 40 acheivement last night.

Apologies for ignoring the invite yesterday - I was rushed off my feet trying to get a 2 yr old to use the toilet rather than the living room floor for No.2's - was just about to reply when the invite vanished, so maybe next time.

FYI, the gap between levels 30 and 40 is 3 double that of level 1 to 30...

Same here about ignoring invites. I had a couple of friends around till late eve having a blast on Forza. Their driving skills were like destruction derby!

I work offshore so I'm on two weeks off at the moment. Go back to work tonight so I'll be stuck at 41 for the next while.

Tonight after 8 i will set up a specific room for the SN crew

No worries on the invite thing, i send out one when i see a member log on and again if i see them try to get into the room and fail. Possibly one more invite if the racing is top notch and should not be missed. Like the single series Clio race round Sebring last night

ScoobySTI is from scottishscoobies.com, damn fine driver and racer

think i`m on level 30, not to shabby when i only bought the game last friday

did the time trials yesterday just because i got bored with the career mode, but the online racing was much better

to be honest i preferred the races when the cars were all pretty much matched, same car racing seams better, although i messed up the host options i think :s

same car racing is really good but I do enjoy pitting the different makes against each other. As long as you keep the same group of cars it's still pretty close and you get to see the different merits of different cars in a race situation.

I think it's fine as long as the PI of the cars are within 100 of each other. I always try and pick a car in near the middle (or if RB5 is on right at the top )
Those AWE Audi A4s are blooming fast!
I do prefer C-Class races though, prolly cause I'm playing with a pad so the faster classes are quite a handful with my stubby fingers

[Nelson mode on] HaHa [Nelson mode off/]

The 22b just seems to compliment my driving style plus dont you know ......classics rule

I prefer using the non-standard cars as well. Problem with keeping it to standard is anyone who has done some of the arcade racing and time trials has extra cars unlocked that are available (eg the Audi AWE S4) which are a lot faster than the 'standard' cars in the same class. I was having to drive the wheels off my little 360 challenge last night to keep up with the guys in the Audi's!!

Oh and Squirrel, sorry I squeezed you out last night, wasn't intentional and won't happen again!!!

I like the S204 although the handling on the 22b is better (after chasing Scooby STi around Sebring for lap after lap ). The only place I could gain on him was the back straight so the straight line speed is better in the S204 but you'd need a long straight to make any difference (Mugello or the New York track perhaps).

Can I have some money please??

Think my fastest is either my S204 or a Corvette that I have! Both are guff in comparison to some cars, but I'm only on level 29 (30 after tonight) so it's still difficult for me to get some of the really decent cars. Nex plan for me is an F430 and a 997 GT3 I think

No problem squire

Sorry for veering across the track on Maple Valley and smacking you into the wall, passenger by that point after getting two wheels on the grass

Here the Audi AWE tuning car aint all that, gave a few of them a good muffing used an old school Fezza GTO. Different cars have different strengths, the key is to know what the strengths of a particuler car is and how to use them properly

agree. you can have a car that handles like a dream but if there is a long straight on a track and somebody has a car with more grunt and top speed then all your good work can be for northing. It's fun learning though.

Suzuka being prime exaple of this, as I found out last night! Wasn't just the straight line speed though, was more the traction out of first and second gear corners, the initial accelleration of the Audi is more than the 360 could overcome with corner speed. With the standard option swithched off, limiting horsepower or kerb weight is a pretty effective way of keeping everything even.

Will see you all this evening (after I do a little more career mode) for some races

first couple of endurance races provide decent cash + winning bonus + free car, take about 45-50 mins each.

should get near 200k
