I've got a MY97 Blade that is Yoshi'd and jetted and K&N'd and will do 54's around Mallory. Not bad for a lanky 17 stone git!!
However having just thrown it down the road, will have to see what the insurance company says.
Having said that, doing 215 mph on Sunday on a 'Busa was absolutely unreal!! There is no substitute for cubes!
Matt
P.S Why won't someone buy my TypeR?

'Nother Biker here too. 1997 Suzuki GSXR600. Great toy, but better on a dry day than a wet, there aren't many worse sensations than cold rainwater dribbling down the back of your neck.

YZF R1 for nice sunny weather. I did the ride all year thing before i got the Scooby, but its crap. You can't clean all that crud off the bike. You don't get warm from October until May, and nothing hurts as much a throwing it up the road in the freezing cold.
Puff - Ultimate respect. You must be daft as a brush.
Ian E - How did you get knicked by a car. A firestorm should be able to outrun the radio waves
Harj - An R6 for your first bike is an excellent idea. If you have nothing to compare it against you won't realise how fecking scary the thing is

Fast Bloke,
I was clocked by a laser speed measuring device. The Police were in a Scooby waiting in a layby - obscured by trees / bushes. I didn't even know about it until they caught up with me a couple of miles down the road at a roundabout.
Been to Court this morning - see Caught Speeding thread for the verdict!
Wish they'd give these Policemen slower cars!
Cheers,
Ian. (Not so fast any more bloke!)

Ian,
Can I offer first commiserations about getting caught, and congrats about keeping your licence. Over here in Norn Ireland you could expect similar fines but a dangerous driving charge as well. you'd usually get 6 points for speeding and 6-9 for dangerous driving. Net result is that you could be off the road for 3 years for a single 100MPH blast. So the only possible option when you get spotted at a ton plus is doing a runner. Not recommended if the driver can handle his scooby or is in a helicopter though. They tend to shoot you for that over here (ha ha). I know my R1 is quick off the mark, but I don't want to test it against a bullet....
