What would you do with about £50,000?
Just a hypothetical question ......
Lets assume that the Premium Bonds are full to the limit - the ISAs are all loaded - shares have been bought for the long term and there is no mortgage or other debt to worry about.
Wasting it on cars, wine and women is not an option - Capital Growth would be nice, but an Income would be ok if no growth ...
What would you do?
Put it towards more property, ignoring the collapse which is about to hit us?

Les
Invest in property abroad.
Plenty of options for the booms that are replicating the hay-days of the UK.
Plus when you're bragging about your LG & Classic, you can say you've property abroad.

Land in this country, not property.
Example, 12 acres of agricultural farm land would cost you a few years ago £52620 (£4385 per acre).
It will then take you 4-5 years to convince planning to turn them into crofts -not houses. (I won't go into specific details here, but we were planning on 12x 1 acre plots).
You need to plant some nice trees and provide services, wind turbine energy is extra brownie points.
When you've done all that and obtained planning permission, you then sell 10 plots of land for £120k each.
Aim for the top end of the market, the owner will spend an extra £200k to build the house, and it's instantly worth £1/2 a million.
Job done
Dave.
P.S. Plots will officially be available from August 14th, but there's 4 sold already.
