Yes, the old biddy hooging L2 at 56 shows no lane discipline, you are correct. What I'm saying, is everybody has their own idea of what size gap to pull into. Most people with good lane discipline will pull into relatively short gaps, the old biddy you mention doesnt do this.

concentrate at this bit please, 2000T....

It's when you are driving what I would call 'sensibly' , i.e pulling in when practical, and NOT weaving in & out of traffic like some derranged road surgeon, and then, some pillock still decides that's not good enough, and carves you up anyway !. To do this maneuvre they generally have to give it warp 10 to get past as the gaps are usually so short!

Please don't make me explain again

I'm not saying my opinion is neccessarily right, but if you do decide to quote me on it, at least make the effort to understand what I'm saying

No, i just don't bob in and out of lanes like a man possesed. I see people do it, they look idiots, and are just weaving unnessarily, more pointless manouvres=more accidents.

Whereas putting yourself, and other motorists, at risk by "boxing in" people whom you have forced to undertake makes you look.........

It's crazy to think that all driver's have to pass the same test, but yet the driving standards on our roads vary so much.
Personally, I feel that if you intend to 'punish' another driver for their mistake/poor driving, then you are no better than them, end of story.
If you are a good driver, nothing any other driver does, should surprise you.
A good driver also looks well ahead, knows what to look for in the current area/situation and can predict what might happen. They also don't get wound up by other driver's.
You'll be surprised at how many people 'look' but don't actually 'see' when they look in their mirrors.

Basically, stop trying to control other driver's, you won't.
Just concentrate on your own driving.
I do however think that a re-test every 3 years is a good thing. We have our car's tested every year, why not our driving skills?

I don't drive slowly enough to force people....it's just the occasional ******** that thinks an advance of 3 car lengths will get him home an hour earlier It's these idots that feel the wrath of the TDi spurt
