comparison pics!
Cheepo one @ £15
expensive one from the 1st post in this thread.
They both look near enough the same... but there is a slightly larger surface area covering with the cheepo ones, dont you think.?

I'm glad I stumbled across this thread.
I've looking at the carbon stips for a while but wasnt keen on paying £65 +.
I ordered my set last night from eBay for a total of £15 + £10 shipment to the UK. I asked about tax etc and he advised he will mark it as a gift! ;-)
Cheers

Carbon pillar trims came today, didnt take long - just under a week. The look the business. Only problem is they are to short, 2.5cm. They are for my MY03 wagon. I emailed the guy to see if they would fit a wagon and was told they would be ok. :-(

Any news on the original topic of this thread, I'm interested to hear comments about the roof vortex vanes. Build and fit quality, ease of fitting etc.
Many thanks,
Rich

I'm not suprised, its put me off a little too. I really like the look of them but the last thing I want to do is cause any lasting damage or have a tacky fit, I want to be able to turn the car back to standard without too much hassle or expense.
Knowing my luck mine would be the one that flies of at speed and damages somebody elses car.

Here is the one i had:
I bought the 'carbon look' one from scoobyworld, looked rubbish, was like someone had painted black & white squares all over it, so had it painted instead.
Had it tiger gripped on and It still came off and was heavily damaged, was just a good thing there was no one behind me.
Have now opted for the chagespeed one from SRB power will post a pick back when it come back from the bodyshop.

Have to say if I bought one it would be of the Charge Speed/Seibon type quality (and expense)..
If I wanted to stick cheap tat on my car I'd have bought a 1988 Vauxhall Nova

Has anyone got one of these fitted yet? Since seeing this I'm seriously tempted to get one but am worried about how to best secure. Would like to see pics of any fitted, particularly to classics.
