Somewhere between 250 and 300 so far, Doug. I've lost count.

You know, i kept seeing this 'big chunk of oak, what shall i carve out of it?' thread and always suspected it'd be another one of these threads that are filled with general back and fourth rubbish chit chat. To my suprise, when i finally clicked the link, i see this master piece.

Bravo!

Now if a piece of glue with a minor resemblance to Homer Simpson can fetch £150k+ on Ebay, just imagine what this bad boy can bag you!

Would the National History museum be interested in something like that? They may have the budge to compensate you for your time.

LOL, is that true about the Homer thing? I couldn't put a value on it, I'm too close to it. Thanks for the praise!

Luminous, I'll probably ***** lots of emails all over the place when it's finished - you never know.

I remember seeing it at 151k. I've also had the pleasure (or misfortune as the money aspect made me sick) to have a tour around a very, very well off couples' house. It was full of pieces of so called 'art' ranging from blobs on a canvas in which they paid a few thousand for, to a load of bleach bottles filled with different coloured lights which they paid hundreds of thousands for according to them! All i'm saying, if you rack up enough interest in this magnificently crafted spectacle, from the right people, you could find yourself cashing a very healthy cheque.

Judging by the skill and talent, you'd very much deserve it too

Is your 'carving shop' the equivalent of a "downtrodden husband's shed refuge at the bottom of the garden"?

Yeah, it'd've been cool to watch our lass trying to crack it and scramble it.

'As small as an egg'.........

Shame it's still out of sync, though.
