Curse all you Audi drivers

Bluto22b - didn't your post from a while ago imply you sold the Impreza because of the image of the car due to the owners?
I know most of the 'Impreza changed to Audi' drivers (and audilover) are just trolls, but do you think you are clever or funny? (serious question BTW)
The best quit whilst they are at the top, but for a few of you the peak was quite a while ago.
You have gone from mildly amusing to downright boring.

1. Audi drivers are superior to everyone else no matter what.
2. German car drivers apart from BMW's are superior to everyone else.
3. You drove like a idiot and the humble S4, was provoked to reveal its brute force. Either get more power or put up.
4. Audi always reigns supreme.
Remember these things and you wont feel a fool in your scooby.
Was told Audi driver's have small ******

To be fair to your stereotypical Audi driver, its not really their fault. Its more a naievety issue, believeing all the hype and spin that Audi's marketing department churn out.
I'd also be somewhat uptight if I'd bought an Audi to discover that for the vast majority of the range the only thing to get excited about is interior trim quality, and that "vorsprung durch technic" might as well be translated as "you've been had, sucker"

This is so, so sad.
How old are you guys?
Audilover, you moan about the maturity of scooby driver's, yet you always have to have your say in these silly threads.
Go outside, get some air and maybe a life while you're at it!

The problem comes when people change to other cars (in this case Audi's) and just come on here to stir s**t.
When i move away from Subaru's i'll still come on here, but will retain respect for other owners, and not place pointless threads just to get a rise out of them. (see Bluto22b, Davyboy etc)

If you have sold an Impreza and moved onto any marque then there is no reason at all to move away from this site, many of the original members have changed cars.

Why all the bad feeling towards Audi drivers
The company has a lot of history there
"Auto Union was a joint venture of four German automobile manufacturers, established in 1932 in Zwickau, Saxony, during the Great Depression. The company has evolved to present day into Audi, as an independent subsidiary of Volkswagen.
The trademark of Auto Union was a symbol of four overlapping rings, symbolizing the four member companies (all four in a line, in an attempt to avoid confusion with the 5 Olympic rings). The trademarks and company names of the member companies - Horch, Audi, DKW and Wanderer - were continued; the four ring logo was used only in racing. The four ring logo of Auto Union is still a trademark, and now used by Audi."

Some nice motors they did make

I don't think the slagging off of old german cars is called for, fair enough shiny rep mobiles driven by men with fake rolex's and empty lives deserve to be laughed at, but the old audi's and veedubs are some of the most amazing cars to drive. I know, I'm still missing mine after being in the scoob for a month.
I think the real problem is older people who's lives (or businesses) didn't go how they want, and feel that cutting people up in there lookalike sports car/stupid money/status symbol/manhood extension etc. can bring something to their life.
If you wanna teach people a lesson hang your head over the bar with your pint in your hand telling them stories of the good old days when you had a scoob and your own business. If you don't get in your car and enjoy the drive! (but not staight after leaving the bar)

It would be nice if you could buy a high performance, well made car that didnt have all the image baggage.
Saabs and Volvo's avoid the aggresive tosser image but get their own instead which is a bit less in your face but a bit too wimpy, T5's and Aero's are about the best in this respect, discreet good taste and performance, pity they cant make one that handles as well as the German stuff. I would say its a pity that they cant make one that is as good quality and they are a way off but I think the Germans do make good quality motors but not as good as the perceived quality they have based on history and the tactile bits in the cabin. The horsepower race the germans are in is daft, fun but ultimately a bit pointless, somethings gone wrong when you can buy a car with 612 bhp that is no faster than lower versions but it just has the traction control light on more often.
Audi used to kind of fit in with Saabs and Volvo's in that they were none aggressive, quality family cars but remember that advert in the late nineties with the suited tosser on his mobile who said that an Audi 'Was not for me', a direct dig/nod at BMW's typical customer, it was also I think Audi's manifesto for the next decade, to initally deride the BMW customer base, then start pinching it, it was inevatiable that a bit of the negative side of the image rubbed off.
They are very clever with marketing, the Germans, BMW with its cool, no nonsense approach and VAG who have pulled a masterstroke in selling the same stuff as four different brands in several different market segments, same stuff with a different badge, British Leyland did the badge engineering thing in the sixties and seventies but failed because they build pretty poor cars and didnt do the parts bin sharing thing and then topped it all off by allowing the unions to f*ck things even further.
I tip my hat to the German car industry, we could have done it but were lazy, millitant and short sighted.
