I will be running road tyres definately - want some comfort!

Aircon stays in as well despite the mods

Looking at getting a multi-map on mine so I have the option of running with no boost when I want - should help on the fuel front for the motorway sections. Then at the flick of a button its full boost and away

The work has started

Yep, road tyres for me too. Will actually be going back to my original 16s as it was easier (and cheaper) to get a full size spare. New tyres will be arranged today.
If I get time, I may even get a remap before the kick off.

After the abuse my car went through in the hands of Stormy and Mark, at the driver training on sunday, I can definately confirm I will be camping with the slow drivers on this trip.

Ade hope you enjoyed the day

The good thing is that you should now know the safe limits of your awesome car.

Are you on commission Marv? Think I'll be getting it serviced first, as it's due now. Might have to be remap next month as this month was the purchase of 4 new Toyos for my 16" wheels, in preparation for the Blast.

Wink EB07 invoices

Guys you should of all recieved EB07 Invoices for those who have paid final payments many thanks.

Any questions let me know.

Remember to plan driving over 3000 miles so remember to book your service/MOT etc soon.

Also recommend you source spare brake pads or bring some half worns just in case I would not recommend any one running OEM pads (butter)

Service booked for 11 August, getting brake pads replaced with DS2500s, and keeping the old ones as spares - they're about 50% worn, and also a full alignment as well. New tyres on wheels, just need to be put on the car.

I've also got a couple of questions.
1. I was thinking of carrying a spare can (or two ) of petrol - are there any rules/regulations about this?
2. Will I need my helmet for the Nurburgring? I've herard it's not necessary, but is a worthwhile precaution.

Yep service also booked 8th Sept

I carry a couple of cans of fuel, long as they are proper carriers dont think there is an issue, you may need to check for Ferry certainly I carried can full of fuel last trip, problem with Specie is that I only does 200 to the tank

The ring helmet wise your choice Im taking mine.

Stormy

This time 8 weeks we will be in Interlaken

OK, you guys have twisted my arm.

Service booked for saturday, brake pads will be changed and braided hose will be fitted with the real oil.

I guess the brakes will be well tested on the trip to the Germany WRC before the Euro blast.

Cool EURO BLAST 07 DVD

Hi guys I will be doing a DVD of this trip with footage of all groups with a camcorder plus stills in form of a slide show at the end .I use Pinnacle Studio 10.7 also putting on Rocking sound track in Dolby surround so get a in car mount from B Hague etc. Have done a few Peak Tour DVD 's plus weddings for Friends and family.Just hand your DV tapes at the end and any pic's you want on the DVD can put them on my Laptop at the Last Hotel. This will take me about a month to do with Printed Disk and Case .Here are some shots I took on a night out in my Truck on Thus night friday morning daybreak @ Kirkcaldy ,Scotland taken with a Samsung D900 Phone.

Nice pics Paul

I can vouch for Paul's prowess on Pinnacle - he has produced some good DVDs for the Peak Tours.

48 days today I'll be in France en route to Rheims for the overnighter

Not long to go at all now then. Got just about everything ready except insurance green card - finally found insurance certificate so will be ringing up about that today - and money. What's best - a pocket full of cash, or just use debit card?

Depends which bank you're with, some sting you using the card abroad. You will need cash for some stuff (like using toilets, buying lunch etc) but I tended to use the credit card for the major expenditure (petrol!!).

Stormy what currency do we need for the Czech Republic and are we ok with Euros everywhere else?

Switzerland doesn't use the Euro does it - think that's still Swiss Francs?

Anyway, they're all foreign lands - won't a box full of shiny beads and trinkets do?
