I always listen to what people say, it seems you do not.
If i was not pushing hard enough and have limited driving experience the how do you think i new what kind of road you people were driving on by mentioning understeer?????
Now then clever boy also it was said that if i took a ride with arron i would need to change my underwear ( please!!) sorry i forgot P1 was a touring spec car?????
Is it that difficult to spin off in the dry???????
my previous car was a 290bhp gti-r so i know a little about understeer my friend.
At the end of the day people with the sort of machinery do not intend to drive slow, everybody thinks they are the next Richard Burns but if you are going to be you need that edge which the average fast driver does not have.
A roads are for the window down drivers, try putting your back end out with a foot to spare from a cliff, then you will see who can drive.
Change of pants!!!!!!!
You will need to buy shares in calvin klien!!!!!
regards
jason

Jason do calm down.
You see ................I believe that I have actually driven on most of the stages that the beloved Rally of Great Britain will use and I have no doubt that given the money and time that I and a lot of other drivers could indeed compete and beat young Mr Burns!
I remember Mr Burns from when he started and while the likes of us club rally goers struggled to finance Mk2 Escorts he was happily playing in brand new Peugeot205s that he indeed didnt have to fund!
We used to finish in the top 5 and collect a pot or something ,he would win or come 2nd or 3rd in his Pug challenge and win more prize money than we spent on doing the whole event!
I have competed against and beaten a lot of so called rally stars but I will not bore you with that.
I do indeed admire young Richard but lets not forget that in all forms of motor sport it isn't always the driver or indeed the rider......sometimes the money does open up opportunities that are not always available to others due to A: not having the right name(MCRae etc)
and B: not having super rich parents.
In all this we are in the position and I am proud to say beating the most talented drivers in the world(the Finns) even on their own ground and this is a superb achievement.
So when I slate certain aspects of THE ULTIMATE IMPREZA etc don't take it as if I were some journo looking to sell more copies of a mag but more that I think I am capable of giving any car a fair appraisal.
Right Im of my high horse now and goodbye.

OH and while I think of it look up any article on the P1 that was written by any sort of driver and I think they will all echo the understeer problem.........Tiff Needell etc.
And dont try and tell me he`s a **** driver cos he`s not.
And no I dont do A roads I do B roads.
Please dont forget the good points that the car has.
Despite my disapointment with a lot of areas of the car it does have some of the best suspension that I have ever witnessed in a road car.........ON B ROADS.
It makes the most wonderfull noise on full chat and in my opinion is the best looking Impreza ever.
Basic build quality is something that you simply dont get with most Jap motors so we must live with that but sorting out little niggles like the ones that most of you and myself also seem to be encountering just shouldnt happen on a £31.5K car
The car is extremly quick but lacks grip.
My car will throw its self onto some opposite lock in the wet in 3rd gear on some dual carriageways and in second no problem!I dont expect to have to fit anti stone chip crap to my car.
Why cant the blue trim be blue moulded trim and not painted?
Anyway I`m bored now so I`m off,
TaTA.

Arron full respect i just have a very expressive nature,i never said the car does not lack in certain aspects ( understeeeer ) in fact i think you are right but that is due to the way in which PD desired.
People like you and myself may of course desire diffrent.
You have tred were i wish to but ( rallying ) so i have full respect but to be a winner as you know you must never except defeat.
As everything in life ( as the p1 )if only it was perfect!!!!
Oneday maybe but until then opions like ours can only but help.
Regards
jason

Red face

Arron

M3 still on order, but at least 6 months away. It would have to be something pretty special to make me cancel that order.

Are u on drugs! I was a little worse for wear last night and unless I'm very much mistaken admitted as much in subsequent posts that my ramblings were from the bottom of a bottle and shouldn't be taken seriously.
You certainly talk a good fight however I NEVER listen to what people SAY. I ALWAYS look at what people DO.
Oh and by the way are these yours /
Regards and chill
