How fast is the worlds fastest road legal scooby?
Not sure if it's the world's fastest scooby but 210 mph seems quick enough

That is rather good, around the same figure as a tuned A4 diesel

Worlds fastest A4 does 216mph with its twin turbo 3.0 V6 diesel unit producing 650hp. 0-62 in 3.4 secs.

Did your impreza run out of steam or track when it did over 210mph?

This is a Subaru thread for Subarus, not an Audi comparison thread, now fleck off and go play with your Scalextrix.

It ran out of track 28 seconds into the run from a standing start ! It was still accelerating at 1mph per second from the datalog.

So I reckon if you took the car to somewhere like nardo, and specifically set the car up for a max speed run you would beat the diesel audi as it did its time at nardo specifically set up for the challenge.

Awesome Impreza

Worthy of an audi badge

Ok, so we normally talk about 0-100 times or quarter miles, but 28 seconds as a 0-210mph time is pretty impressive !

So is the "slower" second 100mph purely down to wind resistance on the "sleek" impreza bodyshell ?

Mr Forrest how many seconds did it take for you to get to 125mph on that run?

Considering you can do 9 sec 1/4 miles with 150+mph terminals I'm thinking how close it would be if you were up against a Bugatti Veyron!!!!

The power required sustain a given speed goes up with the cube of speed. So the aero load at 200mph is 8 times greater than at 100mph.

IIRC last year my best 1/8th mile at Santa pod was 5.8@126mph and 9.1@160mph 1/4 mile.

That answers the question, Andy Forrests car will totally blitz a Buggati Veyron.

My wife Barbara has threatened to phone up Top-gear and tell them her 'man' has an old scoobie that he built in his shed that would waste a Veyron
A- they wouldn't believe her and B - would you let clarkson drive your car

Not Clarkson, no, but what about the stig, would be nice to see what it would be like around the top gear track.

In comparison for time to 125mph

Bugatti Veyron - 7.3 secs - 1000bhp - £900k
Ferrari Enzo - 9.5 secs - 650bhp - £450k
Pagani Zonda - 10.0 secs - 555bhp - £350k
Porsche Carrera GT - 9.9 secs - 604bhp - £323k

AFP Scooby doo - 5.8 secs - ~800bhp - Priceless but built in a shed.

I reckon Barbara should defo give TG and JC and call. You don't have to let them drive...just get them to give you the white suit and helmet of Stiggy!

Let JC drive the Veyron and show him a clean pair of heels!

If Simon Norris can get on C4 in his Evo, you deserve to surpass that by going on TG!

Lets start a petition.

Why would they not try his car out if they were to see footage of it.
