I would personally go with the Jeffs Acrylic Kit, as above - it's a great kit that works reallly well, giving great flake pop and a decent wet shine on metallic greys and silvers.

For best results and maximum protection at least Prime Acrylic and Acrylic Jett Trigger, but seeing as the residues of both can be a little stiff to buff, it makes sense to get the quick detailer too. Here is the best way to use the system plus a little background info, might make it clearer why you really need to use it as a system rather than picking a single product...
The Jeffs Werkstatt Acrylic Kit is a sealant-based system that looks great and offers terrific durability. The kit also comes with all the necessary applicator pads and buffing towels. The Prime Acrylic basecoat is a deep paint cleanser that also lays down a tough initial coat of protection; you should use it once every six months after claying (it serves as a light finishing polish to further cleanse the paint). Acrylic Jett Trigger is a pure spray sealant that should be used to add more gloss and durable protection every 4-12 weeks; the more layers you build up, the better the finish will get. The Acrylic Glos is a quick detailer, and can be used to help boost gloss and lubricate when drying off after washing, and to loosen the residues of Prime and Trigger if you find them hard to remove. Here are full instructions for the first major detail with the products...
After the initial wash and claying step to remove the bonded surface contaminants, start out by applying a basecoat of JEFFS Werkstatt Prime Acrylic using the white side of the Ultimate German Applicator Pad, and buff off this residue using the blue Poorboy's Super Thick & Plush Towel, using a spritz of JEFFS Werkstatt Acrylic Glos to help loosen the residue if needs be. Then apply a coat of JEFFS Werkstatt Acrylic Jett Trigger by spraying onto one of the yellow/coral Poorboy's Deluxe Mega Towels, wiping over the panel and then buffing off with the other Poorboy's Deluxe Mega Towel, again using a spritz of JEFFS Werkstatt Acrylic Glos to help loosen the residue if needs be. Then simply follow the above routine, adding a fresh coat of Acrylic Jett Trigger every 4-12 weeks. Apply all products to both paint and alloys.

Hi PB
Been using the Jeff's Acrylic for a little while now and well impressed.
Just to clear 1 point up though.
With the glos, currently i use it to help loosen the prime and the trigger.Should i be also putting a seperate layer of the glos on after the trigger has been removed.I know it won't do it any harm but was just wondering if you recommend doing this or not.
I sometimes use the glos after a normal wash / dry as well .
Cheers

You don't have to go with a layer of Glos straight away, but I tend to, just to make sure I've not left any traces of smearing. I also use it after washing when drying off, just to add a bit more bling to the finish!

I've just asked for this kit for my birthday. I have an Iceberg Silver 172. I tried polishing it with merr but wasn't that impressed and I know nothing about all this cleaning malarky. Hopefully this kit will help me get it looking great.
The car shampoo I use is meguires gold class, is that ok? Or should I be using something else to wash it with?
Also, theres no way I can be bothered to wash it once a week, can I still achieve good results with less frequent washes?
Thanks
Steve

Yes and yes! Gold Class is a decent shampoo and will work fine with the Jeffs products, and you don't have to wash every week. Once every 2-3 weeks is fine if you can live with the grime!

Prime Strong has extra cleaning power and extra sealant in it, which makes it more of a one step product that excels for use on shuts, door inners, underside of bonnets, etc - essentially anywhere where a two step process would be a pain. Prime Strong is also a great glass polish and metal polish. The downside to it is that it tends to dust a little more, and is a little harder to work with (dries real quick), so for use on larger expanses of paint Prime Acrylic is a better bet.

We ordered fresh stock 2 weeks ago before we ran out, but there is a delay with the supplier in the US at the current time (shortage of labels would you believe!), and we have been advised it will be 10-14 days until we receive the next shipment.

Just out of curiosity as anyone used Swissol/Swissvax and then used the Jeffs Kit and found it better? I`ve been using Swissol/Swissvax for the past 2 years and found that it gives me the protection and appearance I want for my Crystal Grey STI. Deep shine, amazing reflections and plenty of beading, as well as being really easy to use by hand. I`m using the Cleaner Fluid (Polish) and Samurai Wax (formulated for Japanese paintwork). Any info would be appreciated.

Aye, must be, all orders were dispatched on schedule last week - drop me an e-mail at the usual address with the last four digits of the order number and I'll look up the tracking info; chances are the high winds and heavy snow at the end of the week caused a delay.

just got it today
since i didn't have it at the weekend, I used the old halfrauds zymol, after a wash and clay. since the car will probably stay garaged until next weekend, can I just go over the top of the wax or should it be washed again?

I'd wash it again first, just to be 100% safe - a lot of dust can build up over a week, and there's no point risking marring for the sake of a quick wash and rinse.

Done very kindly (and perfectly) by another member on the other thread started by yourself in the car care section; I've also added throughts on the best interior products as requested.

Big thanks to all at Polished Bliss for gthe lareg parcel I received a few weeks back
..I think I got a bit carried away with the 'Add to cart' button
Finally I have some free time to go play with it all now
I did a trial run with some of the products on the othet halfs punto.. whilst dodging the outbreaks of snow/sun/rain/snow .. neighbours thing I am completely nuts
Tommorow will be the main event, plan on the full Jeffs treatment, plus interior/ wheels+tyres and Engine bay
