That is mine indeed, a good 1/2 second behind my record in that one though. I was slower to triangle and overshot Fallow not being able to stop after the straight. I hope to take a lot of time out of the record this season with the new spec, if Roger or Pete don't beat me to it of course.

Whilst my car will be several hundred bhp down on them both I think that may be the key to the quicker times with the right set up!

I hope you do visit John, you can borrow my slicks any time.

Championship ones are out now.
The Leaders Champ covers Doune/Harewood/Barbon as the 'north' hills as well as the 3 midland hills and 2 in the deep south.

The Loton Park regs are not out yet but are very close.

There are Nat A and B meetings at all the hills of course, so 1A or 1B/Slicks classes are in both 'levels'.

Of course I am, who wouldn't want a t45 group n weld in installed by the best in the business, DSA weighed the cage at 37kgs, I have mine out at the moment I haven't weighed it but the tubing is seriously heavy compared to the t45 stuff and would think its near to that figure. The rigidity it adds to the shell and the added safety out weighs any slight weight disadvantage over a 6 point bolt in. The only problem is the expense, not cheap once sprayed up and everything, thats the only reason I don't have one.

I have all the bits I need to get the car finished and it's back in the garage with the fuel tank out and doors all cut out, I just need time time to do it now, hope to get much done this saturday.

The class will be hyper in 2008, a kitchen too hot for me this year.

There will be 3 front runners, a middle class and one or two at the end, and I feel they will be separated by a lot of time.

You will need to do a bit to be at the front, and not just the car!

Sorry to hijack you thread Rob!!

I hope to make it for a spot of spectating this year. Although can't make members practise at Loton - my other half reminded me (much to my dissappointment) that my little sis' is getting married that weekend.

Cheers

No progress on the car whatsoever as I have been living in a hotel in leeds for as long as I can remember.

I did find this though and it is by far my favourite car of all time and brought me to buy a lottery ticket tonight, won a tenner, not sure that would bring him to sell it.

I used to own Giallo Fly Evo 2, best car I have ever driven when it ran, which was about 1 month in 6 of ownership.

Anyway.....

Try not to drool on your keyboards!!!!!

Simon's never went like that!

No progress?
Practice weekend is very very close!

I assumed your engine is in and running in etc and you were on the cosmetics.

An EVO 4 has entered on a B license out of interest.

I used to have one too Rob and thought like you - best car I've driven. Mine never let me down though (used every day!) and I'd have one again if I could afford the servicing costs!!

Smack in the middle, crown point road. We are fitting out the new New look super store on the Crown Point Shopping Park, our last day on Monday thank God, beginning to feel like the hotel is home and home is a weekend away.

The Impreza will feel pretty quick after driving one of these for 6 weeks.

I might actualy get something on my car done now as Graham said above time is running out but you have to earn the money before you spend it so I might be leaving it late but I'm doing it in the right order.

Going to try and fit the bootld and lights today if I don't get frost bite that is.

Pete, we are closing in but still room enough if you crack-on this week for both days.
I think we have 60 so far of a possible 80 each day.

We usually loose about 10% mainly due to engine builders and their broken promises.

! Trish has just told me to tell you to get on with it!

Progress!!

Got my fibre glass boot lid back from te paint shop and fitted it with my dad today it looks and fits great I'm well pleased with it and it's probably the biggest weight save of my entire winters efforts as it has replaced the metal boot, hinges and springs, latches & locks and spoiler with 1 sub 5 kilo boot lid.

Got the twin headlights fitted another good weight save over the glass OEM items and I like the agressive look.

I removed the lights and cut the back out of the mountings on the off side light to give direct airflow to the filter which will be brought inside the car for this season, it got covered in muck and crap last season within the wing.

I also ripped out the boot and door rubbers, mainly because the fibre glass boot wouldn't fit with it and after feeling how heavy the boot rubber was I got the door ones straight out. I just better remember to keep my car cover on over night at the meetings.

My mate the auto electrician is coming over to refit the dash and electrics tomorrow night so another step closer to being finished.

Rob.

Fuel tank out, for sale if anyone wants it, as is eveything I have removed.

Looking round the car today I forgot I had these, AP 6 pots rebuilt with new performance friction discs and mintex pads, only used for 1 meeting last season so yet to get the best out of them.

I'm looking for a v3 type RA rear bumper in white, not the sti or wrx ones with the grey skirts the plain RA if anyone can help me please give me a pm.
