You would make a slick salesman Steven.
That torque figure is right on the 2.35?
With lsd's and 8.5'' slicks that should keep some level of grip?
Like the idea of the 'stock' installation a lot. I though that was how Terry B's was.
Thanks for the info. Maybe when I come to Harewood hillclimb I can meet/get a ride in Alan's car. He has offered before.
Graham.

Not a salesman Graham, i just say it how it is
The torque figure on the 2.35 was in excess of 500lbft. see here
https://www.scoobynet.com/wyioc-even...r-figures.html
Good diffs and tyres will certainly improve the grip.
You MUST meet up with Alan, and try it.

Doubt the wife would agree, but you are right.
End of this year's racing will be crunch time for the Sti.
To carry on or break it up and move on.

Well it seems that most people would go for the 321T then ,now I've got to start thinking about injector duty and if my 550's would cope.

I am running modified 550's in mine, which came from Lateral, and they are comfortably dealing with 560bhp and a much bigger turbo.

From: Leeds - It was 562.4bhp@28psi on Optimax, How much closer to 600 with race fuel and a bigger turbo?
Youve also got to appreciate that myself and steven both run cars with 500 - 600+bhp and big garretts and we both PREFER alan's car as a road car..
Everytime he asks us what to change next, we say "nothing"!

Ok choices made.
I'm going for the MD321T Turbo,Modified 550cc injectors,fuel lab fuel pressure regulator,and a remap.
Now how do I wait while David at Api gets it all sorted.

I find this very interesting. I'm about to embark on a fairly powerful 2.5 build for use solely as a very quickly daily road car. Its important for me to have as good low down torque as possible but I also wanted to aim at around the 450-500bhp mark as a target. In your opinion what sort of power/turbo would make the absolutely ideal fast road car with a 2.5 build? I dont really need it rev that hard so long as power comes in at reasonable RPM. I also dont want to waste a lot of money on bits that are surplus to my requirements.
thanks
will

Good choice for Borat I'd have thought. It won't make 450, but it will be awesome at anything up to 400 on a 2.5 :- with the right complimentary parts / build.
Such as we do here.............................................. .
David
Group buy indeed, who do you think we are TSL ??
you b*ggers get group buy prices anyway, just by browbeating me
