Fitted mine the other day took a bit of sussing but when I ran her up for 15mins I could put my hand on the metal heat sheild and it was still cool have a look here have added it to my project front mount fitting guide

Mine wont be on the road for a while So cant give feedback but had it ticking over with a few blips on throttle for about 15 mins and i could put my hand on the metal heat sheild which was still cool

Yes i had some spare straps from dp so used them up on turbo I diddnt cut any of the size just made a hole for wastegate arm and a slit on the left hand front to tuck under turbo I took out the wadding from both sides up to the stiching in the sheild the hole turbo is coverd this way even the bolts that atach to the dp took a bit of sussing out but got their in the end

MAKE SURE YOU WEAR GLOVES AND COVER ARMS THIS STUFF IS ITCHY IF YOU GET ON SKIN AS I FOUND OUT

Hav been thinking. is heat wrapping a good idea as my classic has a chimmney to the scoop for the air to get to the turbo. By putting a jacket and covering the turbo up will it not damage it for getting to hot?

 

HI the chimmmney is to try and cut down the heat soak syndrom were as if you lag the turbo the heat stays in the turbo helping the gasses flow better and cutting down the heat in the engine bay especialy your top mount intercooler when stationary if you read the last threads in my front mount fitting guide in technical projects sillent rinning has just reported back on heat issues
