is there any re mappers who know the obd2 port come forward with your info & help ;-)
or anybody with a subaru service display tool, can i have the tools pin out please !!.
ie, does the obd2 port come staight from the ecu ???
& why is there 5 cables on the obd2 port as you only need 2 for power + &-
& 2 for the signal ( k-line) so what is the 5th for as mine is a - or earth ??.
my head is going with all my daft ideas but i an only get it to connect for about 2 secs still so i still get no read outs...... .
what can be stopping or resetting the display unit ???.

just had this email back !! ;-(
It sounds like it will probably not work on your car. You may be able to sell it over there, and possibly even make money on it if you have the packaging in good condition. Check the UK eBay and see what they are going for. We have some people in Greece that are selling them I think on your eBay, but I think their price might be high. Or you could possibly sell it to another member of the forum that missed out on the group buy. If you don't want to bother with those, you can send it back to us for a refund of the $149.95 USD.
cr@p ;-(
i am thinking what to do now.......
it powers up ok & connects for about 2 sec than resets...... .

Guys,
Got mine yesterday. Not had achance to toy with it yet. So will have a go tomorrow.
It's a lot light than I thought. I also though the inout cable would be on the side not the rear. That put to be the plan I had to mount it.
Has anyone taken snaps yet of it mounted? I'd be interested where you have mounted them.
I'm also going to try it on the misses Sport & my sisters LCR. I'll write up ho they go and if it works ok.

You can use the side or rear connector. I tested mine using the side port and had it laying in the cubby hole in front of the ashtray. Now mounted it with the velcro to the pod above the clock so its easy to read and used the rear port, the cable is then laid between dash and screen hiding it runs across then under A pillar moulding under the sterring column into the socket. The only bit of cable visible is about 15cm which can't be seen when in the drivers seat. Also got my missing screws yesterday so all working fine.

I'm sure mine only has a input on the scangauge on the rear? Didn't see any visable side input?
I only got one cable (which was the included one). Did you order another cable with yours? Not sure if the cable I have will go they way round the a post and up the back?
I could be very wrong however?
I was thinking of mounting mine infront of the ashtray too or next to the cup holder. Is yours classic or newage Andy?

My car is a 2003 WRX and only got the cable the unit comes with. All the pictures on Scangauge site show 2 sockets. Info says cable is 6ft long. It was ideal length for where mine is located, I only had a little bit to lose which I cable tied up to the bunches above the pedals so I don't catch my feet in it.
