The SMART Car
On the contrary, a learned source tells me that the latest incarnation of Brabus Smart will have a power to weight ratio around the same as a standard Scooby. 14 secs to 60 is old hat. They can get the front wheels in the air on take off :d

damn you RichB!!!!
you got in just what I was going to say, grrrr

must agree, brabus smart, yummy, very cool indeed, Evo mag had one on test and loved it to bits.
absolutley no point me having one as the scooby is to small for the weimaraner (plus she don't like getting into it) and I can't justify a second car for me.

Smart Piccadily is downstairs in an Underground station, so they don't have a huge range of cars on site.
I would of thought better to go to Smart Brentford where they have a lot more space and more cars kicking around to have a look at.

Living and working in Central London, I reckon I'm qualified to voice an opinion here. Where I live (and work), it is rarely quiet. In the rush hour it can be a complete nightmare. I wouldn't even consider driving the Scoob into work except at the weekend. Whatever the Smart's failings, it is a very practical car for city centres. Parking around my way is *always* a problem. Finding a space is the first hurdle. Then getting into it without curbing and making sure you a completely within a marked bay is the next problem. Getting out of the parking space is the next problem. I have often had a car parked up against my bumper with the another car at the other end 6 inches away. Also, the roads are very narrow, so in a Scoob (even with mirrors folded) the chances of a bang are high. There are also lots of jealous ******* who key nice cars - they are unlikely to be jealous of a Smart! On the point of Scooters/bikes etc, not only do they not protect against the wet and/or cold, but they leave the rider much more vulnerable than someone in a Smart in an accident. I would love a bike, but have nowhere to put it off-road, and, with the amount of idiot drivers in London, would not feel safe using a 2 wheeler on a regular basis.
Personally, for someone living in the City, and who isn't woried about what others think, a Smart is a good option as an *only* car, let alone a second car. The fortune you save will pay for a hire car as an when the time calls for one.

10K for one of them
you lot are getting robbed, they give them away with cornflakes over here, and if you don't like cornflakes you can buy for about 5 grand then get brabus to play with it for ya.

We would be getting robbed if they were 10k, but they're not
.
Have one of the pulse? well, cheapy jobs & save a grand a year in insurance as well. The sort of thing your financial advisor would say is a good thing, if they were ever listened too

On friday I saw a Brabus Smart around where I work. This 'thing' was fluro PINK, loud pipe and big alloys. Talk about road presence, nothing else comes close!
I must admit I laughed for a while but hell, it got noticed by everybody and although I think they're silly little cars (no offence meant) I wouldn't have minded having a go as long as I could have hid my face.
DP.

Michelle ...why don't you try one?.....you know you want to! You're just putting on that old scooby macho (ess) image again....

Look I know the scoob ain't the prettiest of cars but come on!!! That thing is UGLY
Its a squished A-class
and they aren't pretty
I would try one but I wouldn't be able to face the power loss

Michelle....I've been in touch with the SMART UK concessionaires, on your behalf, and given them your email address. They'd be pleased to have you come along and take one for a spin. They would be positively delighted infact. I explained that you were a little bit reluctant to take the plunge, but your messages on Scoobynet suggested that you were warming to the idea!
Cheers,
Rich
