There were a few "incidents" on a couple of C'n'B runs which might have something to do with it. Probably find that there are more speed cameras lurking on the route to spoil any fun that would be had than there used to be as well.
Hi Markus,
There were a couple on the one I attended. Someone had an engine blow and someone else had a coming together with a verge. A hairy drive without ABS to say the least. Still, probably best they are no longer run though.
While I'm here, it might be a good idea to collect your RD DVDs sooner rather than later. My ex will be packing all my stuff for shipping back to the UK in the next few weeks, and I doubt she'll want your DVDs hanging around.
Jerome - It was a little mad when they were being run, dread to think what they would be like today, and I think we were all very lucky to not have had any more serious incidents.
Oh, just sent you a PM btw
Also met a few SNetters at a drink in Canary Wharf (Dreamweaver and PTMW amongst the drinkers).
That was a good night out, I was working in Woking at the time so made it over for the night out, being a Northerner meant I rarely got to meet the Southern contingent.
Telboy was also there, plus Anders, Chuck, RonaldoH, Dave P, and a few others I think.
We used to have a good Northern group as well with Banshi, Otis, Craft, Mellow Yellow, BarryK etc but they all seem to have gone missing these days
And lets not forget that old 80's throwback Mike "rainbowman" Rainbird
I can remember filling up at Donnington services when Mike drove through the pumps in his Sierra.
There were 2 feet of flames coming out the back at the time.

That was the Donno day that we discovered that he had a flamer kit and it was not flames on overrun as he had said
My first was my company car, i then bought it and later sold it to AVI, what happened to that?
My second went to AllanBoz and it's still racking up the miles and looking great.
John
I kept it for a few years and had some good fun in it trying to keep up on the Weekly runs out over Rivington with the lads from the "Northern Forum"
Never let me down, just needed some minor cosmetics after a slight sideways moment on track
I then sold it to a guy who asked me if i wanted to sell in the pub, for good money!! Ended up driving some right piles of crap until i'd saved enough to get my Civic Type-R in 2004
Last i'd heard he traded it in and it had lunar mileage on it!

I joined in Jan 2000 and still have the same old long-suffering red shed (although there's not much of the original left ) Just realised it's ten years old in Sept

how did you seach/find this thread to drag back up?? LOL
think its time you added up your bills to see what its cost you over all these years.. you could have bought a porsche.. or maybe not
Well I'm still in regular contact with Rich Askew and he's doing well selling motorcycles to unsuspecting members of the public. Harj is also on top form although he's not got a 360 at the moment and I'm surprised they let him contact people in the outside world from Guantanamo
Anyway, I reckon it's about time for a nostalgic Ring trip. Anyone else fancy it? First weekend of September! Hotel ZurBurg and plenty of currywurst mit pommes und mayonnaise!
