That's one thing I couldn't buy secondhand, oh apart from underwear

Some people will wear a pair of jeans for a year plus before the first wash in order to get the maximum contrast and fade in the denim.......

worth thinking about

Really... I wash mine probably once every 3 months or so. I hate the feeling of washed jeans. They need to break in over time. I have a pair of Ironheart that I'm yet to wash... almost a year old now. They're not worn that often though.

Hasn't some annoying rubbish band just written a song about you?

Something about wearing the same jeans for 4 days?

Oh I dunno, I don't like those jeans on blokes where the crutch is down to the knee caps. They have to fit the bum nicely

I hate that too. I just mean you shouldn't be able to tell a chaps religion

These are 21oz denim. About the thickest you can get. The quality is superb but they're maybe not a fashion jean like the original poster is after. They will wear with time though and look amazing. last for years.

So many of you have talked about brands but not mentioned the fit.

I like the look of Levi's but don't wear them as the fit is bad (they seem to be made for flat bums and large waists).

I have had some great fitting cheap jeans, but also some not so great ones too.

I bought a pair or Guess jeans 11 years ago, I still have them, as they are really comfy, but they are really faded now and demoted to wearing when washing the car.

Jeans need to fit nicely on the bum

the cut of a lot of jeans still tend to be those of the 40's, 50's and 60's.

If people want to look at some newer styles then try Nudie.

check out TK Max - they do reasonable brands and at very good prices.

Paul Smith, Levi, Ted Baker, Hugo Boss and Diesel are all great brands, some of which are available in TK Max...

My Sister swears by the place.

Fat Face.

Good fit, excellent quality, reasonable price, virtually indestructable.

I think it doesn't matter what the brand is providing the fit is spot on. Shopping for jeans in something I hate, so once i find I pair I like i keep them until they turn into "vintage".

When buying jeans always check out what your **** looks like, as that is the first place where any one looks.

If you want your big **** to look smaller get pocket flaps on the back pockets - don't go for patterned back pockets. Don't go for a trendy colour/wash got for a levi orginial colour classic denim.

No pockets or flap pockets look terrible on women.

Howies do a few decent cuts for denims. I like the fit personally.

howies®

Mail order is spot on 2-3 days free delivery and free returns if you don't like.

Their wool/denim mix is spot on for the winter
