Been thinking of getting a bike myself for the summer but dont know if its such a bright idea to be honest.
My brother has an 06 GSX-R 750 in black with a yoshimura? exhaust system and loads of carbon and gold custom bits, really stunning. He had a spill going back at the end of the summer along with three other lads he was out with, all on the same corner!!
One ended up in a chair for a few months after a trip in a helicopter and destroyed his R1, another had a lift home in an ambulance and a neck brace and also killed his bike, my bro and the other rider ended up having a tumble on the grass (say nothing Milf) and got away with some minor panel damage and bruses.
I wouldnt be put off so much if they were canning it but acording to my brother they were taking it easy, i beleive him too!
So i just dont know what to do, maybe i should just get a chicken chaser?!

 

The very reason I got my Virago, a nice summers day and I see the country side at a nice sedate pace, would have got a harley sportster but they are about 3k more. I realise I can still fall off and get hurt but on a sportier bike I would pull the throtle open a lot more. For me its more damage limitation and the enjoyment of a sunny day. Also I think Im getting officially old and sensible
