read the stats sunshine, Crouch much better for club and country, no doubting it. Its high time people got off Rooney bandwagon and started appreciating Crouch contribution as a player and goalscorer.

You need to read about his antics with a 50 year old who has 16 grandchildren. Farsical.

Dear god you're deluded. the stats you speak of mean jack if you look at them. Crouch for England played when Rooney was out with his foot injury. In that time we played a number of total tripe teams which crouch scored against. pub team some of them.

Give the manager of every top team in the world first pick of Crouch or Rooney and not one would pick Crouch.

Rooney most over rated player in premiership, not worth 4 times that of PC. WR's record for England is pretty poor regardless of who he's put up against.

Crouch 18 goals this season, WR 13
Crouch 11 in 14 Internationals, WR 11 in 33 !!

I know who I would have in my time and at 7M is a bargain!

I personally feel that they are 2 different players, what i do think though is that they are both capable of turning a game by themselves (they,ve both proved this). Crouch got a hell of a lot of stick when he joined liverpool but no-one can argue that he,s answered his critics in the right way by scoring goals for both club and country, his ball play and control at times is fantastic and for a man that measures 6 foot 7" his control on the floor is simply fantastic. As for rooney he is a excellent layer who on his day is one of the best in the country if not europe but he is an entirelly different player than crouch so you cant really compare them both can you.

thats true, we need to compare Crouch with someone better :-)

you cant argue with stats, some on here not wanting to class 6 PC goals in CL as goals

Held to a draw by a 'small club'

Does Rafa have no respect for the history of the English game? It appears not

Liverpool managers pointing the truth out to toffees is nothing new

It was a favourie pastime of the great Bill Shankly and has been of every manager since so in that respect, Rafa is fully aware of the history of the game

Doesn't change the fact that we only got one point from them this season though

You should see Harpers howler which led to the Scouser's goal though.
Get a job in a circus that effort

Job done, great game and a lovely reception for Bellers, especially when he missed a sitter

Have to see MOTD or Football First.
In the corner I sit, a man ran on the pitch with an orange blanket and aapeared to be holding something as well.
The lad next to was convinced it looked like some bar of some description.
Welldone the stewards for quickly reacting though, could have been well dodgy.
