why is it cheap? how much are they worth???????
It Cheaper than what it would be worth in this country probably around £4k. However in Japan the price you are paying is the going rate for a decent STI. You can pick up a clean V4 Type R for about 6k on the road now....

well, gc8 STi's are known to have weak fuel pumps and tend to fail towards the cars top end (engine bang)...i guess something like a walbro 255 ect which i have on my sti will work fine...but the standard fuel pumps are only bad towards the top end ie 130+mph as they cant get enough juice flowing in i guess

and i sold my V2 STi about 4 months ago for just under 5k and it wernt in best of conditions so i reckon you got a good deal bud

As Prince of Tokyo said Fuel Pump, as well as Fuel Pressure regulator alongside with some bigger injectors...... With these mods you have room to up the power in the future if you wish (if you upgrade the turbo) and not have to worry about the fuelling....

spot on...but i think these v2's come with 550cc injectors which are more than capable to feed enough juice to a 2ltr for a decent road set-up...btw is it an RA hence does it have the 5th injector???

The 550cc are an upgrade on all classics, none of the classic models came with 550cc injectors. From the STI 3 onwards injector size was increased to 440cc from 380's....

Very nice v2 mate, for an excellent price too!! Are you sure about the torque figure though? My version 2 only made 260 ftlbs on the rolling road and its pretty much standard...and nothing was out of place or running as it shouldn't be!

Looks an excellent example though, I'm sure you'll enjoy it mate

No worries mate.... So many owners have upgraded to 550's so its an easy assumption to make..

The 380's will be good enough for up to around 300 bhp- 1.3 bar will not be possible on them....

The best thing for you to do is upgrade to some 550's, this will be more than safe enough and if you wished to upgrade the turbo in the future the injectors won't be acting as a limitation..

Sounds very nice... That will make a rapid motor

Look for an Apexi AVC-R works very well as a boost controller in tandem with the PFC. Your Turbo will be a TD05 which will be good enough for what your looking for..... Afterwards you could always exchange it for an 18G/20G. Andy F does the exchanges.
