First Scooby - STi Type RA, lasted 10 days, wrote it off
2nd Scooby - lasted 2 years, manged to sell it
1st Evo (360bhp Evo 6) - lasted 2 hrs - wrote it off

does this give you any idea about how good a driver I am, however I am undefeated at go-karting

While I should be a good driver and people comment positively (done IAM test and Police training) I still make too many mistakes.

I think the key is to realise you're not some driving God because you've been driving for years (Taxi drivers are typical of this breed) and that you can always learn something new.

I HATE high and mighty IAM drivers (usually middle aged, usually in a big Rover) who give other road users the snooty look while displaying a big IAM badge on their grille.
I'd never put one on in a million years.

lol

I picked it up in Kent and drove it to Stevenage, where I used to live, going to stay the night and then drive up to Scotland in the morning.
Came to a roundabout, I pulled on and then a BMW pulled out in from of me from the next entrance, swerved to avoid collision and ended up nose first into the armco....job done.
Spend 6 months choosing the right one........wife didn't even get to see it.

No scanner here - Could give my IAM number but I can't be arsed and the cop stuff is on Police file.

You may have to get to grips with the concept of taking someone's word for it.

Corsa - Rather a lot of effort but LOL!

Feel free to interrogate me if you really feel the need.
Taken at Avon and Somerset Police HQ in Portishead about 5 years ago.

I'm not asking for me, you understand. I don't think you are misrepresenting yourself or 'bigging yourself up' at all. In fact I think you are a 'neat guy'.

No, I am asking for all the Doubting Thomases on scoobynet who might be under the impression that you are a swaggering, bull****ting wideboy with an inflated opinion of himself. They are judgemental here you see. You come on here and you are fitter than them, better at surfing than them, a champion marshal artist, heir to a £0.6M rental property in an ideallic location as well as being the most qualified driver south of Exeter. Well they are bound to be envious, aren't they!

Well a lot of people sit around on their fat ***** doing nothing with their lives.
Others do stuff.
I clearly stated that I make lots of errors hence not thinking I'm a driving God -YOU reached that conclusion, your mind blinded by the green mist of envy.
Hard to be an heir to a property you rent and that is not owned any relative you know of - A rare Mark Enger "stalking" error...

I am well aware of what constitutes an heir, thank you. I was merely putting forward the view of the average scoobynetter, based upon the fact that you clearly stated that you intend to purchase the house in such a way as to imply it was as good as yours. My choice of words was designed to play on that and in any case I'm sure you wouldn't have bothered to tell everyone the value of the house if you didn't intend for them to believe that you would own it.

Now I'd hate for us to fall out on the internet, but for future reference those I berate are without exception those I consider to be beneath me, and therefore by definition I cannot be envious of you.

The value of the house was stated when comparing council tax prices to property values - Plenty of others did the same and I felt we were getting a good deal. We might buy it one day (we'd very much like to), but it's not a given.
It also came up in a buy vs rent discussion - Again others did the same.

So I appreciate your efforts at good old British sarcasm but I wouldn't bother.

Well I'm sure that's all very interesting, as are the other examples I'm sure you can cite of valid opportunities on here to sing the praises of every skill/asset you've got... and all in the few short weeks you've been here too!

However, what interests us more...... is what you are **** at, what you don't own, what you can't afford as well as any hitherto unseen bad character traits.

Oh and you can omit braggart, we've had that one.

Fair enough.

I'm **** at DIY, concentrating for more than an hour, tolerating Daily Mail readers, shaving, being tall, having a full head of hair, surfing backhand in less that 3ft, drinking lots, saying no to door to door salespeople, finances, car fettling, etc, etc.

I don't own a house or a helicopter or a yacht.

And I can't afford a new Porsche.

Mmkay?

Let me see..
Rear ended someone in my first car...looking out of the side window at something, not looking ahead!
Had a head on in my first car...driving like tool (that finished that car off)
Stuck my mini in a ditch... Icy road and driving like a tool.
T boned my Mini... Driving above the speed limit but not like a tool when someone pulled out of a side turning (that finished that one off)
Drove my metro into a barn at home on the farm... forgot it had no brakes.
Rear ended my mothers car... driving like a tool..
I think that was it.
Not stuffed anything since about 95 when I started buying expensive cars.

Still drive like a complete tool though, even worse in the Impreza.

It would probably cost less to hop on the seacat over here and burn around in mostly no speed limit zones than have a quickie at a track day? Hate those little white circles with the black stripe through, just says go on drive like an idiot and keep the paramedics in a job! Ah the joys of living on this rock
