Can I ask if you or your moderation team find anything that breaches the terms and conditions of this site in my posts on this thread?

My genuine opinion is that rescuing a corpse is counterproductive and that our army doesn't have the support of 'most of the population'. I've put these points without resorting to the kind of pathetic name calling some of the other posters have indulged in, yet you have sanctioned me, why?

I don't expect a reply to this but in typing this I have a least given you the opportunity to explain yourselves rather than appearing the autocratic prigs your current behaviour suggests.

 

Isn't the whole point that the army flew in strapped to the outside of the helicopters canopy (as practiced for downed aircrew recovery) and flew in to retrieve a comrade who they thought was wounded.

On arrival they found he had died and flew his body back to base, it's a morale issue mainly "we don't leave our boys behind" and rightly so!

Complete respect for the bravery shown by all involved, makes me PROUD to be British.

You and I have similar opinions on this matter; the difference is that I articulated my opinion in such a way that would not get people's backs up. This is a very emotive subject per se, especially for some on here.

Your crass, insensitive remarks were either the result of ignorance (I doubt it) or, more likely, a deliberate attempt to provoke (i.e. troll) When you get into that territory, it's the webmasters discretion about what to permit and what to sanction. In fact, everything on this site is at their discretion: it's their website!!

If you don't like it, do please feel free to go away. Alternatively, start showing some sensitivity to the views of others, stop trolling and make a positive contribution to this bbs.

Everybody I know does.

Support of our leaders putting them in harms way is another matter all together.

Go ask the muslim population of this country whether they support the army, go and ask the left winger, the pacifists, the thinkers.

I think you'll find most of them don't support the army at all and like it or not they make up a significant number of the population.

The fact the right wing demographic of scoobynet and 'people' you know do doesn't in any way constitute 'almost everybody'.
