DIY AFR meter for £10 with excellent results!
Honest answer - none of them. Get a knocklink.
Can you clarify slightly for me please.
I would like to migrate this circuit to my Skyline as a method of measuring AFR whilst tuning, would you consider this suitable for measuring AFR in conjunction with one of them fancy 5 wire Honda sensors and another independant way of measuring knock (which I already have).
I know I'm putting you on the spot with this, but if you get it wrong, your toast

Well the Dawes AFR is basically the same....
They all have some value, but compared to a wideband lambda they are basically misleading IMHO.

If you are thinking of making one, it may be worth fitting a 15v 1.3w zener diode across the supply lines. This will eliminate any high voltage spikes (on supply line)that could possibly damage the 3914 IC.
Just a thought.....
Q : John, Is the lambda sensor in the up pipe on early WRX (92) the normal (i.e - suitable for this reader) ??
Si

Can anyone take a pic of this PIN21 as an idiots guide
I picked up the Lamda feed from the ECU connector B136 PIN 21 as John did. It's the first connector facing you (lower)and was coloured Blue on my UK MY00. I used one of those blue Scotchlok connectors.
