Becks to leave Madrid

dont think it was a bad move for him to go to real, but since Del Bosque they have been sacking two managers a season, thats hardly grounds for winning trophies.
I think he could have done a job for us on the right. That would have been a step forward for him and a decent winger for us. But we'll make do with pennant for now :-)

I agree with STi, hes had a successful career doing what hes done, being passionate about football does not always mean winning. Im about as passionate as they come and play in a fair poor team (blame my team mates ) at the weekend, support a small club with no real media coverage etc.... Being passionate does not mean signing for the best club possible. Its all about playing at the end of the day.
Hes going to see another 5 years worth off football, be the best player in the league by far and richer than all of us can only dream off.....
Sounds clued up to me.

Not forgetting Beckham.Inc will be massive in the states possibly making £128 mil look small fry.
He's set up his soccer schools over there as well. If he can help grow the sport he'll be in a position to become the only real football celeb in the US! think of the deals that would pull!
the lad's done good.

Marc, as said before, it's not about the standard of football, it's about the commercial value of Mr. David Beckham. It'll be nice for him to play on a regular basis, but MLS will benefit from him far more than he will from them (money aside, of course).
I agree with STi here too, he deserves better than the English media. They've sh*t on him from a great height countless times, the same can be said for a certain Mr. McClaren. The way he was ousted from the England squad was shameful and still winds me up.
All the best to the man, a true legend in my book and it's clear he has the right people around him.

He's always been more interested in things away from football. Good luck to him but he's never been the same player since leaving United.
Probably only done it to be compared to Pele and Best.

He's won every club title with United, Captained his country and played for the most successful club side in the World. Now I have to say yes he's dropping to a standard that is akin to a pub team but for $200 mil who the **** wouldn't?! He's laughing his **** off!
Not bad for a stupid bloke who cant speak

Another reason would be an English speaking country with less pap following since he won't be THAT famous over there.
Posh never wanted to go to Spain, looks like its her turn to choose where to live

He is a Hero! Look at what he's done in the game and where it's taken him! It should be Sir David. He is better than any business man. He's turned himself from a good footballer into the highest paid team sportman ever!
We should respect him for what he's done.

Hes done it purely for the money and who can blame him, i mean if someone offered you that sort of money when you were coming to the end of your career you'd snap it up.
Becks and co have always loved the States - the Gansgta/Bling/Rapper lifestyle appeals to him and always had.
Cant fault him

$250 mill
The real David Beckham who we've probably never even seen or heard, we see the media savvy version, he's probably on the phone to Gary Nev saying, **** me can you believe this **** mate 250 mill, or maybe that becks has gone forever.
