I've now found that site that lists the MY07 spec.

The STI gets the Torsen rear diff, but curiously the Spec C retains the mechanical rear LSD.

Can anyone confirm as to why this is?

The photo of the "new MY08" is in fact i think you will find a Mazda made to look like a Scoob. However, looking at the latest spy shots of the MY08 it won't look too different to the photoshopped pictures. Four door Hatchback...no hawk eye grille....still got a scoop...but no big spoilers.....all according to rumour. It is also rumoured that the Prodrive design team is working on the WRX.

 

I wondered whether it would be something like that.
