Hi so sorry to read this. I had 2 labs till 3 months ago 1 was 13 and the other one is 12 years old but sadly the 13 year old got sick we tryed our best for him and he seamed to pick up and looked like he was on the mend . he got up walked around his garden picked up his best toys and then went to see our other lab 2 hours latter my wife got home from work and we was all sat togetter and he passed away with us all with him i am still gutted now and it is hard just reading about your dog so sorry for you and him . My other dog is still doing fine but he misses the other one to i spoil him and he gets away with murder but at the end of the day he is 1 of the family i love him to bits . So sorry and give him a stroke from me mate and at least he is at home with you and he saw christmas with you .
I am glad he gets to spend a bit more time with you before the inevitable, he will be sure to feel loved before he goes and I am sure you have given him a happy life
im so sorry tam i was hoping he was going to be ok and that he had just ate something dodgy. im upset now really bad. im sure you have given him a happy life atleast he wont be suffering anymore and can you please give him one last stroke for me too im gonna have to get out of bed now and go and see my dog and make sure she's ok. hope your ok tam take care x
When the time comes I really would advise getting a vet to come out to your house to do it just after giving him a lovely bar of chocolate.
Certainly you should think about that if you have other dogs as they will sense what has happened and get over it almost instantly. Unlike us humans. Sad news - keep your chin up. dl (who lost his beloved Golden last summer).
