the cop that gets me all the time is a dwarf in an estate police Volvo, he even told the judge that he has seen me with the illegal plates after he had given me a ticket when he had been off duty, he had even jotted it down in his note book

Bought a set at NBO, small front, regular rear.
Put them on and within one week.
Got spotted by 2 mountain bike cops, one of them pointed at my car as I drove passed. I then got on the motorway and went up on junction.
I was then about to go pass Ashton U Lyne Police station and I noticed a Police Vectra Gsi sitting on my left shoulder, at no point had he seen the front plate yet he stopped me and walked straight to the front of the car. He then beckoned me to join him at the front. He the proceeded to say that he is sure that if he was to measure my plate he would find it to be illegal.
Then got lecture about him being THE BOSS of Tameside Traffic Division and that he has told his officers to pull people with illegal plates and that it is a £30 fine and if you are a regular they will inform the DVLA to get them to revoke ownership of the plate.I gave him the plate in the boot routine, said no good in there so get it on.
Then said he was just giving me a warning, cos he can as The Boss and said it is a nice car and he was sure it gets a lot of attention without the added attention of the plate.
Went straight to GT GRAFIX and had a legal small plate fitted (private plate 5 digits) No probs now cos I is Legal man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remove the plates when i am going on the motorway, but the number plate is perfectly readable and cannot see what their problem is the 3 traf cops that came after me could have been out stopping people with no insurance and give people who abide by the law {almost all the time} a break .
