Sounds dangerous.... But whatever gets a faster time

I only did for one day...when I wasn't worried about my old 98k slappy engine because the car was then a toy, rather than my only transport

So you wouldn't recommend doing the same on a daily driver I take it.....

Did it make a difference on the day?

yeah could do with knowing if a straight 5th becomes available
just thinking of bigger tracks like castle combe going round folly and booting it in 5th with all that torque can't be good

No, and probably...I did run a 12.3 1/4 at 118 which was moderately entertaining until Steven promptly went and ran a 12.16 a few minutes after I'd started re-loading the car to go home

Why do you need a straight cut 5th?

I'm seriously considering entering the Castle Combe Saloon Car Championship later this year. See video link below - awesome

YouTube - Gary prebble racing in car cam

Once my latest mods are fitted and the car is remapped (26th Jan) and I get the PPG fitted in Feb (hopefully) then I will need a full rollcage fitted. At this time I will strip the car out completely for weight-saving measures. A few other bits - plumbed in fire extinguisher and circuit breaker for the battery and the car will be ready to race

I then think the straight cut 5th will come in handy. Plus it will sound like a proper racecar in 5th too

On another note, was at the Autosport show today that made my new MD321T look diddy But I have faith that it is a cracking turbo and will be good for 450bhp - so we'll see

PAS - do you race in the series? Have you been doing it long? Any tips for a newbie to the racing scene??

My car won't be ready to race for about 6 months or so, as obviously I will need a rollcage fitted, but fully intend to do this in 2007

Do you have any incar video footage to share?

Can you please give me some details about the roll cage you have fitted?

I am shortly going to be investing in one and that looks just the ticket.

Fantastic vid, really good to say the least, mighty impressed.

Why did you stop after the face full of dirt from the EVO? Puncture?

I had heard the Rover Tomcat was fast (think I'm right about the white car at the end?)
Graham.

pavlo.

yes the car did run again after the fire but the donated engine was not oil tight lol,I need to talk to you soon about the new engine.

I stopped because at the time i was running with a maff and the dirt smashed the sensor, motor just stopped.

The other cars have prob 150bhp more than me at the mo,although ballards evo has 600bhp.

The cage was fitted by CAGED in melksham,i think it was 800 quid fitted.
