Right, had another idea !


Would anyone be interested in a group by maybe next month- march for some Adjustable cam gears for classic models ??

Now I have been doing a bit of research on these , and haven't let found any company in the U.k that supply's / make them .


We have already made a few lightweight (non adjustable) cam gears already for the ej20 , but now would like to start on the adjustable one's this year as these would produce the best possible performance for your cars..


Here are a couple pics of ones we have made in the past




As you can see these do look nice and shiney - the new ones would look like this but of course adjustable ,


Below is a photo of some adjustable ej25 pulleys we made as a custom job for a guy in Denmark .... The holes are pins holes which are used to advance the retard the pulleys 1 degress at a time .





I am just gathering a general interest in these as we would have to buy sample's to make them too -- we would most likely be buying them from jun JUN CAM SLIDE SPROCKET

A very well know Japanese tuning company , These would cost us £580 and too be honest this is what they would retail around pretty much anywhere in the world , My aim is to half this cost! if we could say ten orders,

Now these ones would need to be installed by a mechanic, not like the other pulleys ...

Why only classic

 

On the JUN website they sell two types -- gears for 3 & 4 then gears to fit 5&6 ... so i will need to check out what fits what, but i have just this second been told by a freind that had some lightweight cam pulleys off us that all cam gear are the same from version 1 - 6 or 1992 - 2001 so we might be lucky ,

I didn't personaly think that newage cam gears would sell as well ,

Frayz : The standard price delivered is £120 - im afraid i cant add up the cost for the anodising until i have them done, if you would like to pay in full i would say the total cost would be £135 delivered, if it's anymore i will cover the the cost- if it's any less i will refund.


Cam pulleys: You are looking around 18bhp gain (estimated) The honda cam gears we sell produce 15-18bhp and that is only on two pulleys , the subaru ones are a four piece set.

I think we will start off with the Classic cams gears, that way we only have to lay out £580 instead off £1160 - but we will most likey do the newage aswell this year,


Yes we can make those wheel nuts quite easy - infact they would go on one of our automatic cnc's and be able to knock loads out at low cost, these wouldn't have to be the same design and can also be anodised any colour..

I am currently designing a new alloy throttle pulley for the scoobie's , the aim is to get rid off the slack in the throttle cable and increase the sensitivity and therefor improve throttle response!

Here is one we have for a Skyline...

 

I got a set of lightweight nuts exactly like these (in black to match my black wheels) off a Japanese company thru eBay. Only cost me £10!

They do all colours... you say you can do them cheap cdfracing? I know a few ppl that'd probably rather buy thru a UK supplier than pi$$ around on eBay.
