Popeye - go back to your lovely Olive Oil
Didn't say I had a big Todger - just that those who like gold wheels are a little feminine and their todger has probably retreated due to the female hormones running through them see??
Simple really - even for those with gold wheels
Keep it going - whats the maximum replies to a thread?? lets go for it
Witty comments only accepted from now on!!

Witty comments only????
I dont think having Speedline Safari Gold wheels has put me more in touch with my feminine side, not noticed any Todger shrinkage.
I suspect Pete hasn't noticed any Todger shrinkage with his wheels because at 20 stone he's probably not seen it for years.

Stan's SR500s look really good. Have look at David Brown's post in the 'Wheels' section if you want to see some pictures.
Chris
Edited 'cause I just reread Pete's requests for 'witty posts' - Sorry completely failed

"Big" pslewis: You completely missed the point of my last post. Doesn't suprise me giving the gibbering drivel you've inflicted upon this thread so far. You're also making the rather rash assumption that you've managed to post anything "witty". I beg to differ. In deference to the administrators of this BBS, and anyone unfortunate enough to have been subjected to your puerile rantings, I am loathe to, as you so eloquently put it, "keep it going". However, may I enquire as to the exact specification of the modifications made to your vehicle's suspension, which presumably prevent it from collapsing in a large, sorry heap when you manoeuvre your vast, waste-of-atoms frame into the drivers seat?

I have to say I'm a "silver" man myself. Not that I would go as far as to say that gold wheels are tasteless - they're at least as tasteful as fluffy dice and fake fur on the dashboard!!

Philip: On the contrary. I'm very interested in rubbishing amateur flame merchants who are clearly out of their depth! Besides, I live in hope that one of you anti-gold wheel boys will eventually be able to post something remotely amusing. You can do it lads! Perhaps you should meet up at the gym and discuss it during a mutual oiling session eh?

Popeye: With a name like yours it would suggest that you spend a lot of time in the gym too. Or have you just the one rather large bicep?!

Philip: If memory serves me correctly, I believe "popeye" got his strength from eating spinach. Oh dear. 2 out of 10. Come on son, you can do better than this! Mind you, the one-liner about "one large bicep" shows signs of promise. Perhaps gym-freaks as gurus of style and taste isn't such a bizzare concept after all! Then again, perhaps it is.

Popeye: I have to say I am rather pleased that you don't frequent my gym, as any guy dressed as a sailor with an anchor* tattoo on his arm would not be welcome!

Popeye: I have to say I am glad I do not live in your neck of the woods, as going on a 'cruise' with you would bring allsorts of nasty thoughts. Urrgghh.

Hi,
I'll try not to enter muppet status on my first post.
Has anyone tried other colors? Wheels that are color matched to the car are very late 80's, but I'm thinking white or black.

I've got a dbm my99 gold is ok but subaru/gold wheels is expected... normal alloys.....normal.....
Pumped for a bluey graphite khan RSR think they look great clean and not so tarnished (as alloys do) dirty after a good clean the blue comes up great.....

Philip: Now I'm REALLY dissapointed in you! Putting "popeye" into web search engines in the hope of finding some ammo, not finding anything worthwhile at all and still deciding to post it anyway is VERY poor! You could be expelled from flame school for that offence! 2 consecutive boring posts is another black mark! And you attend "cruises"! Waaargghhhh!!! Gyms, cruises...oh dear! Heh! heh!
I shall now (thankfully) cease posting to this thread. Could you send me a picture of your head? I'd like to get a model of it made, so I can nail it to a plaque and mount it on the wall above my fireplace, next to that of "pslewis", "6SSK" and "JasonM".
Cheers.

Been - looked - thrown up .... you are 'aving a larf aren't you????
You CANNOT seriously think they look better than Anthracite????????? surely to god??
Do you realise how '90's they look?? they were NOT cool then either - just more acceptable because the car was quirky !! BUT people now know better
You will look back in a few years at the photos and say, ' what a dick I was!! ' - guarantee it!!
When I was a kiddy in the 70's I customised a Cortina Mk2 - I thought it looked soooooo smart - I really did - just like you over your golds .... but looking back now being a 'grown up' it was AWFUL !!!!
AND SO ARE GOLD WHEELS!!
Is this 85 now?? what is the record for replies?
Pete
