So I'd made my mind up, 997 Turbo. It's a GT car, that can be used on track, and can go from 0 to 100 in under 9 seconds. I was planning on calling the dealer tomorrow and buying the 'x demo' car I had driven.
However it seems this x demo car has abit of history, just like my 996 GT3 RS it's an x press car. In fact it's this VERY car:
YouTube - Fifth Gear - Porsche 997 Turbo review
So it's been ragged by all the jorno's, I'm sure Porsche UK have looked after it, but this car is still being sold at list! With only 1 year warranty left!
I know now I want a 997 Turbo, but I don't know whether to chance this one. COnsidering it's going at list price I think I may just order one and wait... But you know I hate waiting!!
Grrrrr, just when I thought I had it all decided!

Lol ... you'll be getting my sloppy seconds then buddy if you pick up the demo car . I test drove it at Porsche East London a few months back and I have to say that the car IS automotive perfection.
circa 500bhp and the first service is after 18,000 miles, then every 20,000 after that!! Amazing for what you are getting when you think about it.
The 10,000 they ask you to put down gets your name on the list (as I'm sure you know) and they say 18 months for delivery. However it gets refined after Porsche Stuttgart accept you to around 12 months
The Ferrari 430 is still the car to have though!!! You leave the porsche outside a coffee shop and people will notice it ... leave the ferrari and you'l have a crowd around it taking pictures - oh and the noise! I have a nice little vid from my track exploits in the 430 ... and the noise will make your hairs stand on end. I know you do a lot of driving to and from Germany so maybe for the amount of long distance you do the Porsche may be more reliable and cheaper to run ... however if you are in the position to buy the Ferrari then you need to consider it because I know if I go through life without owning a F430 it will be one of the biggest regrets I'll ever have.
BTW I ragged the **** out of the 997 Turbo demonstrator!

If its the best car youve owned.. why get rid of it this soon?

If they want top dollar, then tell them to stick the ex-demo and wait for a new one......although if you are only going to keep it for 3 months then it doesn't really matter if it has been ragged or not!

I've managed to find another blue one, that has not been used as a press car or ragged by Gangsta
I'm still unsure about this blue colour though, could be a resell nightmare.
I'll see if he's willing to do a deal.
