Went test driving today...

996 GT3 - Basically the same as my RS, been there got the T shirt etc etc

997 C2S - Very nice, love the new 997, lacked power.

997 TURBO - You thought a 510bhp M5 was fast? Think again. This thing has just re-written the rule book! Fastest thing I've ever driven. Got a lovely 40 minute mixed drive.

Very impressed, however it's up for a 3 figure asking price.

Don't think I'm likely to find anything else as quick Turbo for a while... 0-60 3.9 and wont stop going till the needle is pointing at 200mph I don't think any car on the market today could be as fast a > b in ANY condition (4wd). However the 997 GT3 is probably a more involving drive.

But, it's not all about going warp speed so it's Aston time tomorrow

The aston was a lovely bit of kit, felt amazing to drive. Although it 'only' has 380bhp it delivered it well, and when you look at the sterring wheel and see the 'badge' brings a smile to your face.

But then I got onto the A12 and planted the loud pedal, it was 'fast', but the 997 Turbo isn't fast. The 997 Turbo is "WARP SPEED".

So I'd made my mind up, 997 Turbo. It's a GT car, that can be used on track, and can go from 0 to 100 in under 9 seconds. I was planning on calling the dealer tomorrow and buying the 'x demo' car I had driven.

However it seems this x demo car has abit of history, just like my 996 GT3 RS it's an x press car. In fact it's this VERY car:

YouTube - Fifth Gear - Porsche 997 Turbo review

So it's been ragged by all the jorno's, I'm sure Porsche UK have looked after it, but this car is still being sold at list! With only 1 year warranty left!

I know now I want a 997 Turbo, but I don't know whether to chance this one. COnsidering it's going at list price I think I may just order one and wait... But you know I hate waiting!!

Grrrrr, just when I thought I had it all decided!

Nice idea but....

Type 25 would struggle on the autobarhns, scoobys can't cope with sitting at 150mph all day long, so Ive been told anyway?

Also can you imagine if it broke down in Germany! IF your lucky enough to find a scooby dealer and he opens the bonnet he would mutter something in Germany and point to Japan
