Maybe a little dramatic, but a possibility

Point taken though.

wrx gets up to 140 quick enough after that i wouldnt know, only done it 2 maybe 3 times in ownership as i value my car,my life and life of others, but in saying that after about 80mph i think you can pretty much say that you wont be able walk again if you crash anyhow.

90 mph and still going
Many years ago I took up Golf (MKII), wasn't very good at it, but walked away....
so went 4wd... and it's been o.k. since.
P.S. Off the clock in a Catalunya = 160+
P.P.S. Sti is limited to 155 mph. It says in the literature ? ? ?
"Private Airstrip" available for rental, sorry very low noise limit only.....

LOL the sad thing is all the 'sensible' people who come on threads like this to look down from the moral high ground on people who go over 70. Or over 100, or whatever the politically correct acceptable speed is nowadays. That's bull****. If this was the Rover 216 Owners Club I'd not be surprised.
But come on...you're all driving as close as you'll get to road legal rally cars, with well over 200bhp, that do 0-60 in under 6 and will run on to what, 140, 150 pretty easily? You didn't choose to drive a car like that by accident. Yet suddenly half the people on this thread are bleating on about people driving too fast. Hypocrites IMHO.
Get real. There are only two types of people on this thread - those who are happy to post their top speeds because they've nothing better to do, and are sensible enough not to admit to doing it on public roads; and those who see a thread like this and come on to moan, as if they've never ever ever done any speeding themselves. Or maybe the rare occasions they did it, they reckon they were more in control at 90 in light motorway traffic than someone else doing 140 in the dead of night with three empty lanes in front of them. Bull****.
And, no I don't speed deliberately on the motorways. I'm not really in a hurry much of the time, I'm happy enough to bumble along with the general flow of traffic which let's be honest, is nowadays more like 80 on the dual carriageway or motorway, and I like getting more than 250 miles out of a tank of petrol. And having had a ban a couple of years ago for doing 104, I've had my fun and done my punishment. But if I want to do 150 on the autobahn, that's my business.

My comments are more aimed at some of peoples attitudes towards the speeds they are doing, and concentrating on taking a photo of said act with their mobile phone on a public road, at night when visibilty is reduced (yes so is the traffic too)
Have you seen me drivng, do you even know what car or cars I own ? not everyone (in fact probably the minority nowadays) on the forum drives an impreza
Ive sped, of course I have, we would all be liars if we said we hadnt, I still do occasionally, why do I do it, well because i personally believe the speed limits on motorways should be raised, but what I dont do is come on here boasting on how fast I have been in my car on a public highway
You ever see the video of the chinese guy who did circa 200mph, didnt the police prosecute him, because there was evidence because he liked to brag
Ive seen similar videos of complete and utter ***** who dont even deserve to travel on public transport let alone drive round in lamborginis ferraris ,subarus etc
I dont have any problem with speeding on track, test circuits etc, but half of those who quote 'private road ' are usually referring to the likes of the M6 Toll road, M25 at 2am etc etc
If you want to drive at 150mph on an autobahn, please feel free, as they arent all unrestricted anymore you know
