True. Severe gales and driving rain are less than ideal driving conditions when you are crossing a bridge.

Regardless as to how anybody drives, this is a sad sad thread..! Your mindless comments above, as you are now probably aware, certainly are not appreciated here!

I'm sure you'd say the same if it was your brother or someone close to you. Or maybe you just saw this thread sadly stating the loss of a life as a good oppotunity to wind people up.
Either way your a ****!

If it is the same Mass , then I am sure he may have said that as a quick reply, spur of the moment comment. I doubt Mass meant what he said, as he is not that kind of person. However he is a fireman, so maybe part of the comment came from the fact that he has to deal with , on a daily basis, the remains of reckless driving and I know on many occasion, he has described some of these incidents...I for one, would hate to do his job, so before everyone throws their toys out the pram...

just think that maybe he was upset at all the stuff he has to deal with, hence the comment. You guys didnt know his profession, so you didint understand the comment, he didnt know the circumstances, so hence the flyaway comment....

just shows how easy it is to get the wrong end of the stick..

anyway it is terrible news either way you look at it...sympathy to the family

I'm a fireman and have been for 25 years! I am embarrassed for the service that another fireman would come out with a statement like that.

I'll certainly stand corrected, I did wonder if the might be a personal reason why Mass remarking in this way, I take my hat off to the emergengy services for what they see in their job, Ive seen the end result on my own, and believe me, in 2.5 years I can honestly say there aint been a day pass by, where i haven't thought of what I saw. We cant always be gentle with our comments, sometimes we say things in a hard sounding way. I stand corrected You do a great job, perhaps an edit to your post with an RIP...

I didnt think that not capitalising my post in the appropriate sections would be a cause for concern, but I was wrong...silly me.

Doesn't matter what his profession is. He's only qualified to make comments like that if he witnessed the accident or has intimate knowledge about it, neither of which was forthcoming in his crass statement.

In fact, he should be thoroughly ashamed of himself if he is indeed a fireman, and I'd have thought unless a grovelling apology was forthcoming he should be reported to his chief.

are you serious???
I think this has got way out of context here...lets get back to the topic in hand, namely it was a shame about the news of the driver getting killed.

Yes I am serious, it's a bloody serious matter. If it has got way out of context (and I seriously doubt it has) there is one person to blame.

Listen, I just came on this thread to offer my sympathy for the family of the driver who got killed...dont know him, but there you go.
then I saw the comment by Mass (which i thought was a bit out of character for him, and until I know better, I guessed it to be driven by the pointless waste of life he see's on a regular basis.). Then I saw all the following posts aimed at his commnet. So I just remarked that it didnt seem like a comment he would normally make etc.

But now we have swung from that to serioulsy suggesting that he get pulled up by his chief officer or coming on here to give a full blown apology. In true SN style.

Now I suggest you look at your last post and maybe evaluate what you are saying...

The thread was aimed at an unfortunate accident....simple.

If you have a problem with Mass's comments, then I suggest you PM him to air your grieviences.

Or be really grown up and red blob him instead

Knowing Mass as I do, no way would such a throw-away comment be made without good cause or reason.

Although not a Scoob owner anymore (came to my senses) my sympathies go to the drivers family for their loss.

Me listen? How about listen to yourself. For someone to post up a senseless and crass statement is beyond belief unless they have the full facts of the incident in question, I'm still waiting if that person has. I have nothing to hide therefore I see no point in repping anyone or pmming anyone, I like things in the open. Maybe thats the way you operate, not me.

Being an Impreza forum there's a chance that friends or relatives of the deceased may come across this site and be none to pleased with what this idiot has posted. The fact that he's rumoured to be a fireman makes it even worse IMHO. The service takes a very poor view if any of their officers brings the service into disrepute or shows it in a poor light. This IMHO is such a case.

I repeat, there has been no indication by mass that he was in full facts of the case before he posted. If he is ignorant of the full facts then it is outrageous that this should have been posted.

Now I suggest you look at your position.
