Of course most older Scoobs are owned by younger people now as theyr'e more affordable and probably bought 2nd hand, so asking on here probably doesn't help a lot....

Surely you should have asked "how old the first owner of the car was when they bought it", as this is what the manufacturers will have recorded. The danger of the current question is that a lot of people buy pre-owned cars when they are young and change to buying new cars as they get older.

PS. When I bought a Honda Civic in 1990 I was told that I was helping their cause dramaticly - the average age of the buyers of the Civic was 57 (
)and they were worried about their owners all dying out! 
At 25 at the time, I guess I reduced it a bit!
