I assume it's a classic STI and I think that all the Classics are the same, please correct me if I'm wrong, so the spring should fit. I got my Eibachs from ESP Design £129.99 + 10.99 del.

It will happen when or if we get 5 full sets. It's been running a month now and I don't want to drag it out much longer either way.

Definite:
1> Paul666 - 99 Classic Full set
2> PaulTheJambo - 00 Classic Full set

Maybe:
1>big kris (depending on what Nathan says..)
2>yellow sti6

Default Help?

Finally!!! I have been after some new shocks for over 3 months now. The problem I have is im not sure i need the adjustable ones. At the moment I have factory standards on my 02 Bug Eye WRX. I fancy getting the Eibach springs too, but I have had so much different advice on what shocks to go with. First it was coil overs, then stay with standards, now adjustable........ All i need is a full set of shockers ideally not adjustable as its mainly for fast road use.

There are lots of posts on how good these adjustable shocks are with Eibach spring and they appear to the set up of choice for fast road use. Try a search for them.

It's your choice but I'd go for adjustable as it gives you room to play. You can fine tune to get your ideal set up instead of being stuck with fixed damping that make you adjust other suspension parts to get it the way you want it.
Thanks,
Paul.

If you could add your name to the list I'd be grateful. I was about to close this due to lack of interest but went out the afternoon and didn't get a chance to call Nathan.
Thanks,
Paul.

This was asked in a previous buy and they didn't do the springs. I got my set from ESP Design at: Eibach suspension lowering springs for Subaru Impreza (Classic) - Buy now - Fast UK Delivery - ESP Design £129.99 + 10.99 del is the best I've found.
Thanks,
Paul.

I have been chatting to some other fellow scooby owners who have heard that the standard shocks with eibach springs are just as good. I must admit if i went wirh adjustables id be frightened of cocking up the feel of the car.

After a month I still don't have anywhere near the certain 5 sets we needed. I think it's time to call it a day, so unless we get the 5 required by the end of Tuesday then I'll call Nathan and tell him it's finished. I set up the buy for KYB AGX shocks, I sorted out that you could get them ASAP and still get the GB price if we hit the number and that we could take 10 pairs i.e. 6 front 4 rears, to get the numbers but it hasn’t worked.

ricardo_wrx,
I advised ethanrob to speak to Nathan about the KYB non adjustables for his STI 03 as they aren’t part of the GB and if he could get them included, then great, but he's not posted a reply so I don't know what's happen on that.

I don't know but it only appears to list one set of part no for the classic. You may be best posting the question in the suspension section.
Thanks,
Paul.

Kev,
Just add you name to the list but unless I get 5 definite sets by the end of tomorrow then, as I said in post 40, I'll close the buy.
You can still order the shocks from Nathan but not at this Group Buy price but he's still the cheapest I've found in the UK.
Thanks,
Paul.

Who are you expecting feed back from? As I posted (#40) it's an adjustable GB, if you want to phone Nathan and ask, then the numbers on the first page. I have done the ground work for the adjustables but if you want to try and add the non adjustables you'll need to call him and check he can supply them for whichever model you have, is the saving not worth a phone call?
Paul.

More than welcome.

At last it looks like we have the minimum 5 require. Please see the instructions on the front page and give Nathan a ring.

If anybody else is interested the 5 sets is a minimum so you should be able to add your name for a couple more weeks before I close it.
Thanks,
Paul.

"I am in need of some new shocks so I have contacted Nathan at Buypartsby and he is willing to support another Group Buy on the KYB AGX shocks.
when or if we get the required 5 sets he will then refund the difference but please confirm this with him when you order.
The details are on their web site KYB AGX Shock Absorbers
Contact is Nathan on 0800 027 6525"

Probably at a guess the guy who works at Buypartsby selling the shocks.

Hi,

I got a set of the adjustables a couple of years ago, there the best buy I have made. I'm also using Eibachs with them as well

I thought this would help

:KYB TECHNICAL TIP # 2002-06
DATED: November 20,2002
TITLE: AGX Adjustment Definition

The AGX products have the following approximate damping force values.
When adjusted, both rebound and compression damping forces change.
Setting#: Relative Value
1 - Same as Factory 100
2 - Same as our GR2 products (10~15% firmer than Factory) 115
3 - 50% firmer than #2 172
4 - 30% firmer than #3 223

For an eight position adjustable product, the damping force values are approx.
the following:
With #2 being Factory at a relative value of 100,
#1 = 95%
#2 = 100
#3 = 107.5
#4 = 115
#5 = 143.5
#6 = 172
#7 = 197.5
#8 = 223

Wonder Wagon, why the 2 lists above (5-posion and 8-position)? Do some AGX only have 5-position settings (e.g. Classic)?
Do you have a Classic or New Age?
