Apologies to yourself and Mrs Brady, we did try to keep the noise down, but all those testosterone filled "young men" were very excitable after a chase down round the evo
Loved your hat btw, but I'm sure I ran over something just like it on one of the roads into wales!
Nice hairdo too, purple is the new blue aparently

CW, today might be a prelude to the future of the club
i remember talking to elvis from the LADS club , and realised whats involved when it gets so big
one thing which will probably be apparently clear is more than one organiser is needed to run a run with so many cars,
and with all having two ways, directions should bepassed down the line as progress goes, whats the radious on these two ways???
then keeping everyone in toe SHOULD be quite simple, maybe instructions should be made clear on hear prior to a run

Justin, Specs was riteous , it's a 40 limit, and I thought it would be a good place for a chat (apart froim me also wanting to know i was doing 40 for sure ) the guy should clearly not be speeding through there, the ones who speed up and slow down for the cameras are
I was on 3.03 as was Chris, think howard was too
I thought it was a little quiet on there, esp as all I had was the radio (haven't managed to get round to putting one in it)
agreed, think that it went very well today. have had print outs of runs before and never had any problems. think that the principle thing is, if you come to a junction, you wait for the car behind to see where you are going. think you only get lost going home once trafic has picked up... maybe we just need to start earlier I stayed on the dual caridgeway and got fuel picked up the 53, 56, M6,
Mrs Evans.... What can I say...... at least mine wasn't a noisy one

The reason for the 3.00 was that some people on the previous Wales run did not have the 03 sub channels - hence the change. We should have mentioned it but forgot in all the excitement.
(It was worth it simply to be able to refer to CW as "The Hoff" for most of the way home without him hearing )
Too many? I think we did well - I remember doing Wales the first time with only about 6/7 cars and we still lost a few. Doing a run with 20+ cars in those days was unthinkable but we managed it yesterday.
The problem with written notes is that you have to stop and read them (if no passenger) and that you never know where you are up to with them, so are somewhat pointless. IMHO
As we now provide the route on the googlemaps, I think everyone should at least take a look beforehand to see where they are going. I always put the route (whosever it is) into the sat nav so I never get lost (cough cough) and the only reason we caught back up is because I had done that.

After loosing you , I got on the A525 towards wrexham. No sign of any subaru's, so jumped onto the A483-M56. Got home, washed the car, then Chief turned up.
But I totally enjoyed the whole day .....
BIG Thanks to everyone invovled with the planning.

i think the only real problems with the run appeared on the way back because the run from winsford to evo led by Dai was pretty effortless to follow as a group however on way back i think there was a bit of confusion with radio`s and directions but as you are all probably aware the groups split when we approached A483 as wirral peeps broke off as they naturally would and manchester peeps went via m56 etc and chris`s group returned the way Dai`s group had came via wrexham to nantwich roads as has been said if you all just copy the pedometer map from the post there should be no issues and i have no sat/nav in my car as yet so was relying on good old map reading but was`nt really needed as long as car in front was kept in view
as for radio`s i understand the issues but as Dai had commented some of the group only have 8 channel radios so sub channels are of no use to them, there is not really any need for sub-channels cannot see anyone bothering to listen in?
as for Howard have you put batteries in right way because there is a metal tag on one side of batt pack that has to line up with radio otherwise it won`t charge the batt pack! and first charge has to be at least 16 hours!
All in all i still believe it was an excellent run and i don`t believe that limiting the numbers makes a lot of difference because we are driving scoobys and it doesnt take long to recatch the group if a break up occurs
lastly for Ste sorry m8 you should have reminded us it was your day as i think everyone was to busy thinking about run and you got missed out so next time speak up! and
Happy belated birthday m8!

Being a noobie and on my first run, I thought that everything went really smooth (from my point of view). Hats off to Cw and helpers for organising the run. I thought the run out maybe because we were split up into smaller groups went well. Didn't manage to lose anybody on the Nantwich group and had a nice drive out to Ruthin and beyond.
Trip home was a lot harder due to a lot of traffic being about, silly road works and traffic lights (nice of you to block the junction Adam, was pissing myself laughing as I was parked next to the stop here sign where it had been knocked over) It was difficult to know where the car infront had gone if you got stuck somewhere.
Have thrown the two radio's I have into the car for the next time. For the person that asked the documentation I have on my two Motorola's, the distance is 1.8km but that depends on lay of the land and how built up it is. They work great on a snowy piste in Canada.
But thanks again, really enjoyed it.

The Chelford/Winsford run was much easier as there was less traffic about, we were a small group and you had me leading the way and watching my mirrors .
Seriously, when we did the two Wales runs this year we did not loose anyone as (again) we were a small group. We were also able to make better progress due to the small numbers also (and the fact that we did not need to keep stopping for the ladies to take a p1ss every two minutes)
Now we have large numbers of cars on the runs, I think we need to split the groups down a little and have a least one car per group with a satnav or knows the route well.
This will result in slower runs as everyone has to catch-up but at least we will all be together.
