Bedding your brakes in clare is easy. Head onto a stretch of mway or nsl road, get upto about 60, brake steady but hard down to 20, repeat a couple of times. Done
Then come out on sunday for the drive, sorted

I had a full set of pads/disks fitted the day before I did Oulton park - no problems at all.

but if you go the motorway route and keep pressing the brakes every now an then they will be more than bedded in by the time you get to wales!!
If they are performance brakes you need to put them through a few heat cycles to get the best out of them ie do what Chris says (Ferodo actually say form 100mph to 20mph!! six times) you should not do this if they are just standard brakes though as you can damage the friction material!!

apologies for this folks but I can't make Sunday now. Also, Stressymare cannot go due to having a bump in her car and she currently doesn't have internet access to post.
apologies again, and have a good day.

I did offer Gav my car at the beginning of the week but never gave me an answer so now he can't get insured on it because my insurance company doesn't open weekends which means me driving..
We'll have to see what the weather is doing tomorrow..

Do'h
After a non productive morning with my brakes I can't make it either. One of the pistons refuses to retract back into the caliper so no chance of getting the new disc's and pads on. For now I have put the old ones back in until I can get a kit to overhaul the caliper. Do'h
Hope you have a good day tomorrow.

Little theiving scum!! Bar stewards like that make me angry!
Hope they didn't take anything of value from your garage mate.
Hope the girls aren't too upset about their rabbit too.
Regards,
Paul.

Top day out, what having a Subaru is all about. Great bunch of people make you feel welcome as a 'newbie', great pictures aswell. Me and the daughter thought it was great, only thing would make it any better was the weather. Did love that Intergrale.
See you at another meet soon.
Cheers all and merry Xmas.
