There is actually 2 different heights that you can set your flaps to so if you dont want them so low to the floor just use the higher setting all round. They dont half stop dirt flying all up the side of your car though. I thought it was £60 well spent when i got mine.

the brackets will make the fixing stronger, the only benefit i can see from the cheaper ones is that there is more adjustment on the height that you set them to.

I got my 'official' sti ones from and fitted by a dealer. They are great and fit really well. They are expensive but I got it them the same time as a service and te dealer did me a great deal, effectively fitting them FOC and giving a bit of discount!

I have been over these speed humps (the ones that dont go all the way accross the road), down pot holes (thanks to Welsh mountains) and had to go up a few curbs.....so far no problems.

Just been and picked up some of the performance creations ones from the actual place in Bolton. Trying to fit them the last hour, only to find the holes totally in the wrong place. Bit annoyed....

15 minutes with a cardboard template and it was all perfect.

in order to fit the performance creations flaps, is it necessary to remove the wheels if the car already has the brackets fitted with an alternative (TRU) flap ?

thanks guys,

simon.

i don't 'know', but i would say, after fitting my performance creations flaps, that it would be best to remove the wheels. I had to, as there is no way of getting a screwdriver in with the wheel on, for the self tappers.

Dunno the deal with what you have already, but i suppose if you would just be using the push in plastic things that hold them on, you wouldn't need to remove the wheels.

hope this help

Like these, a nice understated logo.

Think I'll go for the perf creations though, since there are so many happy customers. Not sure whether to get a logo, or keep it plain black. (DBM WRX)
