Lets just say I have bought a new sat nav with the shell garages listed as priorities. If I don't get pulled for speeding this year it will be a miracle. I can't believe this is the same lazy WRX I bought last year, only the first 2 gears are speed legal at the moment, fun doesn't begin to descibe it

For all those people who wish they had bought an STi you clearly haven't been introduced to Mocom Racing

I await smiles and results from the other 8 lucky group buyers
I'm sticking with Scoobyworld M8, i've go a Afterburner Vortex backbox so it's gonna be the same centre section (Although it's made by H&S anyways)

Can't wait to see what my STi PPP Makes and how it feels to drive

Am I too late or can I join this.............

Sod the warrenty I need a remap.

Ive got an 05 WRX with prodrive backbox and a green cotton panel filter what sort of BHP would I expect??

Would it be worth adding a prodrive centre de-cat before the map??
What about a down pipe??

Just want to get an up pipe and sports cat and ill get booked in.

Would have it done now but evez's posts have convinced me to get these first!

Zak finally got his head out from under a bonnet and sent me my figures
Cheers Zak

Whilst the final bhp figure may look low, the increase in torque makes the car feel and perform so much better!

Dyno Test: 1strun1500
=====================

Maximum Wheel Power: 204.2 BHP @ 5474 RPM
Maximum Wheel Torque: 205.4 LbFt @ 4258 RPM
Power to weight ratio: 136.1 BHP per ton

Terminal velocity due to power: 161.2 mph

In Gear Acceleration:
40 - 60mph = 3.1 seconds
50 - 70mph = 3.2 seconds
60 - 80mph = 3.4 seconds
70 - 90mph = 3.9 seconds

Total Vehicle Mass: 1500kg
Drag Co-efficient: 0.37
Frontal Area: 2.20 square metres
Wheel/Tyre Setup: 225/45/17
Tyre Diameter: 634mm
Tyre Circumference: 1993mm
Engine Rev Limit: 7100
Test gear: 3
Max Speed of gear: 99 mph
Air Intake Temp: 16°C (61°F)
Atmospheric Pressure: 1.01 bar

Dyno Test: 3rdrun1500postApolloremap
====================================

Maximum Wheel Power: 213.5 BHP @ 5830 RPM
Maximum Wheel Torque: 234.4 LbFt @ 3788 RPM
Power to weight ratio: 142.3 BHP per ton

Terminal velocity due to power: 163.6 mph

In Gear Acceleration:
40 - 60mph = 2.8 seconds
50 - 70mph = 2.9 seconds
60 - 80mph = 3.1 seconds
70 - 90mph = 3.6 seconds

Total Vehicle Mass: 1500kg

Tyre Diameter: 634mm

Engine Rev Limit: 7100
Test gear: 3
Max Speed of gear: 99 mph
Air Intake Temp: 7°C (45°F)
Atmospheric Pressure: 1.01 bar

This is with the PPP exhaust and Revolution Apollo Kit fitted.
The before figures were just with the PPP exhaust. Interestingly my before BHP figure was quite high for what was a standard car (apart from the exhaust), thus the increase in wheel BHP looks fairly small.
Really happy with the performance of the car and the Apollo kit releases the sound of the turbo spooling up really nicely

With the Sports cat Dp, PD centre and other bits you listed you will have a similar set up to Neanderthal so have a look at his results

Mine made more BHP than Neanderthal's because I also have the decat uppipe, but this means squat, look at the times and you will see there is Fk'all in it perfomance wise.

Nice before Neanderthal, mine only made 182bhp

Hungrytang, what Zak will give you is a wholey better faster car to drive. Don't get hung up on figures too much. It is a tangible guide, but mostly its just d1ck swinging. The difference between standard and Mocom'd is huge. The performance of your car becomes effortless rather than spanking the standard set-up

Best £399 you will ever spend

Can't wait to get mine done. Just need work to die off a bit so I actually have some time to get the car there.

Should make a nice change to the handling and performance with the remap and all the other bits going on.

Prodrive Sports CAT (wrapped)
Prodrive de-cat centre section
Uprated fuel pump
Uprated spark plugs
Lightened pulleys
Braided brake hoses
Rear ARB
Uprated rear droplinks
Heavy duty mounts

I already have a Green cotton panel filter.

Zak is supplying and fitting the plugs.

He is using Denso Iridium's.

p.s. not sure of the price because it was all lumped together with the wrapping and fitting of the pipes and the supply and fit of the fuel pump.

Cheers Eve's mate
To be honest I was a little disappointed when Zak told me the bhp figure when we got back, from the way it was pulling and the pre-remap bhp figure I thought it was gonna be around what your's achieved
More than happy with it though. Certainly plenty fast enough to keep me entertained on the journey to work
Got to upgrade the brakes next, will try better pads first.

Oh and for the peeps still to have the remap, if it's a wrx you might need the upgraded fuel pump and spark plugs. Better to get it done and not have to worry

You say disapponted by the BHP figures mate.. thats because all you unfortunately hear is bhp this and bhp that from everyone else here.

Zak gave you accurate bhp/torque figures.. 99% of these other number obsessed idiots make you feel like you must acheive a certain figure. Its all a load of **** anyway. As long as youre happy with how your car performs. Get it on the same rollers side by side with some other supposedly higher powered cars and then see what happens.. i bet youre higher up the bhp board than you expect.
