I always dress my baby appropriately.

Still doesn't make it right for people to park in mother and baby child spaces. You are a mother so I'm absolutely dumbfounded why you are throwing tit bits at me.

How on earth did our Mothers manage all those years ago without Mother and Baby car parking spaces and Buggies with 3 wheels for going over rough terrain. Oh yeah, and baby seats, what happened to a carrycot slung in the footwell?

LOL My mum said the same thing just as she swung the car into a mother and child space

Well, technically, she has a right to park in that space.

These spaces are there for a reason......end of story. I make a habit of taking people to task if I see people parking in either without good reason. As for people who park in disabled places just to protect their car......not much to say really other than scum !

I have kiddies and ******* winds me up to see lazy late 20 something blokes with their frigging spikey hair who cant be ******* arsed to finda another space without parking in these spaces.
Instead of pulling my lad away from running his new 'hotwheels' creation accross their bonnet, i have a good mind to let him carry on..........

When driving my car (and not the missus C class or the 11 year old mondeo td work hack) i park as far away from all the numnets as possible.............taking away all risk of doors and trollies banging into me car!!

Wrong my friend - changed a year or 2 back. Rules of the highway now apply to retail (or any 'public') car parks. Its about time they started clamping down on the wnakers who drive like idiots in these places mind; no good changing the law but doing nothing about enforcing it.
However you are correct about the spaces bit...............unfortunatly.....

What I find amusing here is the amount of people intimating physical harm to persons that park a car in a place not condoned by that individual is ok. That's far more worrying in my opinion.

Just because a car is parked someplace you don't like certainly doesn't warrant vehicle or person damage.

People that park in mother/disabled spaces 'in areas not covered by the Highway Code' aren't breaking the law but you're happy to execute GBH, ABH and malicious damage which could end with a prison sentence. Why?

to appease peoples such as yourself, then it should be covered by law, and in some cases i think it may be in the highway code. then if someone breaks the law by parking in the wrong space, knocking ten bells of **** out of them is totally warranted...

Children.....with all these threat of doing physical damage to persons or property, you'd think supermarkets would provide playpens to keep these irate scoobynetters that condone this action in, for when they spit ther dummies out

Didn't mummy or daddy ever tell you not to mess with things that don't belong to you?

I have a car seat, no slingy things, I won't go out and buy one just because someone who wants to park in the spaces provided for me and my baby want to park in my spot or get irate if I think its right we shoud use them. The fact of this whole matter is, there are mother and child spaces, they are designed for mothers and children, why we should feel bad about wanting to use them is astonishing. Yes people had to 'make do' back in the day but now, in this day and age we have things provided for us to make our lives just a tiny bit easier.
I don't feel I want to hurt anyone who parks in a mother and child spot, I simply park elsewhere.
if I had a choice I'd park where there are spaces provided for me (mother and child) with abit more room to get my child out of the car without hurting him or bashing into someone elses car.

I think this topic should be locked because it aint going anywhere and people are getting irate

Cino, I too have children. Albeit they're not babies but they still throw open doors that would otherwise cost me my insurance excess. Therefore, I have no qualms parking in mother/parent and child. Afterall, there is no age recommendation nor limit.

You see, I'm not just thinking about my subaru as intimated by some in this thread - after all, my car is now 10 years old bless her - but I do worry about other peoples property being damaged. Far more than I worry about someone not being able to park in a spot closer to the shop door.

Edit: Coupled with the fact that I'm a lazy bint with no care about anyone else but me at the end of the day (same as anyone else regardless of the keyboard hero crap on here). Lazy is a bit harsh though, I dance 100 mph every week so I'm not lazy - just conserving valuable engery
