I guess you can spend your cash on whatever takes your fancy but I've never got this whole 'snap-on' thing and I'm a mech tech by trade.
The only socket I ever destroyed (split) was a snap-on socket and I've done some pretty brutal things to tools - a 12 foot scaffold pole on a 1" drive 70mm socket was one I remember (GE Frame 5 gas turbine compressor casing bolt..). 10 ton chain blocks welded to similar sized flogging spanners plus a belt from the 14lb sledge hammer worked as well.
In my garage I've a 20 year old Kamasa socket set (Britool rachet now) and a set of Britool combination spanners and some other varied bits and bobs from the likes of Halfords and I've yet to come across a job on a car I can't tackle with the stuff I have. In my car ownership I've rebuilt engines and swapped most suspension/brakes/cluch parts and I've never once though - I wish I'd bought a snap-on tool instead of this....Okay, I'm not using my home tools 8 hours a day, 5 days a week but I am under the car or bonnet most weekends and the 4lb lump hammer gets regular use assisting the britool spanners.

Just my opinion of course

i was going to px the bugeye one in but it really is mint and they now look the business next to each other, its going to cost a fortune to fill them!

i,ll post some pics up soon, I have got a weakness for snapon tools but I look at the boxes as an investment i also dont smoke and really dont miss the £20 a week ,and they are also something to pass down to my lad whos car mad!

Also got the seat covers for my p1 this week!

Thankfully not...
I think I'll stick with my Machine mart one for £400 quid... and it's bigger than the Snap on box too.
My dealer keeps telling me he'll give me £400 quid trade in on my old box...
Well it's still £2100 too expensive mate.

Full of Snap on tools mind, and I've never broken any hand tools.
The only thing that lets go fairly regularly is an impact 1/2" wobble drive, but as long as they keep replacing it for free I'll keep using it.
