Is there no other way without going through the ford???

Gav, you'll be ok, and so will the car

(so long as you dont hit it over 30 anyway )

If it's full of water, Just crawl through it and there will be no problems

Adam, where on the map is the water you've found to go through? I've been to Swettenham loads of times, and never once been through a ford! Not even one with Liz and a stranded horse in!

DON'T PANIC!!

NOBODY HAS TO GO THROUGH THE FORD!!!!

All I said was that Satnav would probably take you on the shortest route which, on a map, looks like it should be Sandy Lane.

If you look closely at the map, Midge brook does actually cross Sandy lane as a ford, but you don't have to go down Sandy Lane to get to the Swetty Arms (unless you want to!!)

The main road actually goes round to the mill over a bridge and then you turn 180o back on yourself at the next junction into Swettenham Road.

Having been down there last weekend on my mountain bike I wouldnt recommend it in a scoob, well at least not in one with a front splitter!! The road is slightly subsiding on one side of the ford and I reckon it would have the front off your car. Its deeper than normal at the moment, but still no more than a couple of feet at its deepest.
