Alcantara is about £850, obviously £1000 is for cheaper leather... better hydes will be bigger bucks

priced up some alcantara from the local fabric place for my doorcards and it was quite expensive, and then they showed me the "fake" stuff

it was actually pretty dam good, £8.50 a square meter, so i used that instead LOL

might do my dash in the stuff

got nothing to loose, with the thing all faded and crappy anyway

The passenger side bit has the airbag in it doesn't it? Presume the flocking base won't affect that?

If the airbag is triggered the last thing you'd want is for a modified dash to fire bits of brittle flocked pastic at your face. If there's any risk perhaps disconnecting the passenger side airbag might be a good move.

Looks the dogs though. Well impressed.

I would disable the airbag. Or just plain remove it. Anything that covers an airbag should not be tampered with. I've heard of people having serious issues after an airbag was deployed on a dash that was painted. I.E. the airbag went off and the paint on the airbag cover shattered in the deploying and bits of paint were lodged in the skin and eyes.... not good. YMMV.

cheers

Looking top drawer mate!

Can't wait to see it!

I'm sorry but having all those gauges would put me off of the job in hand....................... Driving the car!

Still top job though!

The very reason i chose the Defi setup was so that i could drive the car and it will alarm if it exceeds a given value. Only ones that need constant attention are the ACT and wideband, hence their location.. right in front of me.

The gauges aint there for show lads.. anyone that has show gauges ive got no time for at all.

I dont want a million meters in ther car but with the mods i have in mind i will need them..

i did this so if i had to fit em then they would look as factory and as clean as possible.

Ha ha.. thats cos its a custom made jobbie that a friend made for me

Started life as a Nomad Racing twin pod that he took a mold from and made a 3rd pod and grafted in.. The finish is flawless
