I sat in court for a whole morning being charged with eating whilst driving! No points but £120 fine - the plod who stopped me couldn't even remember the incident and didn't even have any idea why he had been called to court - however, he stopped my brother 2 weeks later for over-revving and excessive use of the hooter. My brother was also insulted by this plod in front of witnesses and decided to make a complaint which resulted in a formal apology letter and a black mark on the plods record - i recently found out that this plod can not go any further than Sergeant in the force from the amount of complaints against him - Justice??

I got pulled by a lone plod for doing 75 on a motorway (good visibility and pretty much empty). At the time I was under the impression that I couldn't be charged if there was only one plod so I adopted the "you can't do me, let's get this over with" attitude. Anyway, plod decides to question my choice of car (Golf 16V) pretty much saying it's far too powerful for a young chap like I was at the time. I responded with "any Golf can do 75 mph" at which point he asked me what job I do, I told him (computers), and he said he know's a little about computers but wouldn't tell me how to do my job. At this point I decided to keep my mouth shut. I wasn't charged (just cautioned), but he did nothing to help me have warm and fuzzy thoughts about traffic police.
A few years later I got pulled for doing 94.8 mph on a motorway by a couple of cops who where some of the nicest people I've ever met. They did charge me. Sigh.
Since having the Scooby, never been pulled.
