right the main thing is your ok and i,ve got to disagree with the way you say its only a car, its not only a car its a scoob which is part of YOU. make sure you get your injury claim in and you can then start looking at some new mod,s

Sorry to hear about your pride and joy mate
Glad to hear you are ok.
If you need someone to sort the stupid bint out, let me know and I will send the wife (aileen the contract killer) round to sort her out.
Hope you will be back on the road soon, only pisser is that when mine went in we ended up with a yaris.
Don't forget to tell them what your job is so you need a big boot, with 4 wheel drive.

I hope they write it off It annoys me that insurance companies try to repair things and still register the car as Cat D etc... The struggle you end up with having to sell on etc, and they dont give you anything for the de-valuation the damage has caused!
Feel really bad for you.
What was the CRV drivers response? Any apology??

Most likely to sit there crying and blaming everybody else except themselves. I hate the fact that people refuse to admit mistakes anymore. The amount of times people pull out of junctions on me when it is clearly unsafe to do so, (on nation limits esp.) and then have the cheeky to give me the finger and other hand movements.

If the insurance pay for the car to get repaired, it won't be categorised as a Cat D...

Depends on how much damage is cosmetic, if its damaged the engine (doubtful) or the cooling system (probaby ) and then just panel damage it wont be that bad, chassis damage can be straightened out....
Anyway, Gav, no doubt your rad is stuffed so get Pete to get you a Spec C cooling system as a replacement

Then engine is fine, it was still ticking over straight after the incident. i had to turn it off which suprised me
Started to drive it to Prosport and steam started pissing out so i'm guessing the rad is fooked. Spec C one could be the future Tony
She simply said "sorry" with no feelings at all. I just looked at her in that way and i think she got the msg

Dai – You either have the patience of a saint or are a cold hearted *****
I probably would have said sorry first …… sorry for the tirade of abuse that was about to follow!!! (Must be just me! )
Gav – First and foremost I hope you are well and have recovered from whatever injuries sustained and they only surface again in the doctors for an insurance claim.
It’s terrible to see the car looking like that when it’s not your fault, especially when you only had it such a short time.
Heres hoping that the damage is mainly cosmetic and minor mechanical and that you get it back in full health soon.

Not taking it personally Dai, to her it's just a car to me it's more than that. I know why she was like that. I'm so laid back i'm horizontal, hence why i didn't get out and go bananas
Cheers Carl, from what i can gather it's not too bad but i think some of the parts will have to come from Japan so might take a while

Most of the parts will be compatable with the UK, the headlights are different as they have bulbs rather than orange bits, but id expect them to be in stock and not take more than a week, cooling system (should you go that way ) may take a little longer but depends on what they have in stock in japan
