I thought the bootlid was aluminium on the Spec C? I remember being a bit of a saddo and checking mine with a magnet when I got it.

No its steel, roof also, bonnet is alloy
Had 2 guys from evo mag (greece) test it, roof and boot both steel.
Will test it again 2moro though just to be sure (you made me paranoid now )

If the bootlid is steel then it must be stainless as it is not magnetic.

My bootlid is very light and appears to be non-ferrous so I am guessing aluminium. The roof is steel though.

Of course if they had a car that had them both as steel then it could be yet another Sti masquerading as a Spec C

Spec C bootlid is definately aluminium. You buy them from Japanparts.com and from Litchfield now I think. Pretty sure that the power steering pump is also uprated on Spec C in anticipation to the fact that it was designed for GrpN use. Water pump is also different, says so on Litchfield site.

The entire cooling system is uprated but still has the same capacity the power steering pump is the same, no real need to change that though there is for extra cooling hence the added oil/transmission cooling and better engine water cooling
